    I feel bad about Deception. While it’s not really a great show (or even a good one), I still like it because of Megan Good. I want to see her every week on my TV. She is such an underrated actress

    @Richard Steven Hack

    I get it that you are just kid with bizarre obsession but you do realize how dump and stupid is from fan who watch nikita to talk for other shows? I mean who looks stupid now?

    ps If we will talk for quality only one broadcast show these days that get Emmy nomination is The good wife.

    I watched one episode of Deception before I learned my lesson. It is Scandal 2.0 only worse.

    NBC needs to dump Deception or move it to Saturday night. They lost almost half of their lead in in both the key demo and viewers.

    Deception is not that bad of a show, I’ve seen worst. Some of these reality shows should get the ax….NBC just needs to have some patience…HBO girls wasn’t originally a big hit until recently…Networks need to start investing more in scripted shows.

    I don’t get why some people are gleeful about “Deception”‘s ratings and it possibly being cancelled. Similarly i don’t see the big attraction of “The Following”. I tend to look at the writing and I didn’t find either to be better or worse in that regard. “The Following” is a violent show so I’m sure that it might get more male viewers. “Deception” is probably more of a female show in terms of viewers but I think it isn’t any worse than other soapier type shows. Also, other than have female lead “Scandal” and “Deception” have nothing in common. They don’t even have a similar storyline or characters. It makes more sense to me when people say it similar to “Revenge”. I hope it hangs in there, I think I would have scheduled it on a Wed. or Fri. myself. That said, I watch almost no shows live.

    @RSH

    Revolution is 1 of the 3 best new shows on broadcast this season, and the final episode before the hiatus was outstanding.

  • bb

    I really like Deception :( wish more people would tune in. Yay for The Following.

  • bb

    I have a question, we DVR ALL our show’s we watch nothing live, does that affect the ratings? Guess I dont really get how that works. Thanks.

  • Grey

    @ bb

    To specifically answer your question, one of the Admins of this site and or probably the FAQ can give you a detailed breakdown of how DVR ratings do or do not factor in to the grand scheme of things.
    However, unless you’re a Nielsen “family” member no matter how *you and your family* are watching your shows it doesn’t affect the ratings. (Since you’re asking the question I’m going to assume you’re not part of a Nielsen family?) Its just people/families being monitored by Nielsen that affect the ratings. That’s why most of us here often bitch, moan, and worry, etc. about our favorite shows. We watch them faithfully but we know we’re not being counted – only being “represented” by a chosen few. So when that chosen few happens to watch the same things we’re watching great! But when they are not we worry … and bitch and moan, etc. :D I hope that explains it for you.

    @ Grey

    Thanks! That stinks, how do you become a Nielsen Family? :)

    @Susan

    ******NEWSFLASH*******

    GIRLS IS STILL A MASSIVE BOMB AND CAN’T EVEN MAKE THE CABLE RATINGS LIST!

  • Grey

    @bb

    Unfortunately, they have to pick you (*don’t call us, we’ll call you*). You can’t volunteer or sign up. Believe me, I would if I could. :D
    I honestly don’t know how they find/pick people these days. They claim they use a random sampling of all economic, educational, etc. households but, with the success of all the crappy reality TV that’s on the air these days I really have to wonder and scratch my head about that. LOL.

    Even though they tell you not to talk about it I have known families in the past that have participated. So, I at least do know that Nielsen families really do exist. ;D But wouldn’t it be something if all of this was just a huge government conspiracy? LOL.

    Dear Petar
    I would not even start to compare Nikita with Revolution. Nikita is pretty awesome action show and Revolution is unintentional parody of adventure genre.

  • Fred

    Never thought Deception would BOMB this big. A 1.2 against repeats of only modest performing shows is simply unacceptable. I realize the 10;00 slot is tough but the comepetiton is not too tough AND in reruns.

  • Tom

    Cw can 90210 and bring back SECRECT CIRCLE already

  • Martine

    Good for the Following. Its a wonderful show. I usually don’t like that kind of stuff, but how can you say No to Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy. I only found out about it recently and watched for first tame this last one. But I will definitely stay with it.

  • Martine

    Is anyone actually going to watch the Carrie Diaries? I can’t figure out what age group ist even aiming for? Is it a teen show? If so then how do you look at its ratings? Are people watching it supposed to be under 18?

  • Martine

    @ Grey; LOL!!!! Thats totally what I think sometimes!!! There are NO Nielsen families. Its just a hamster with a roulette wheel! No, seriously I have known two households who participate in Minnesota where I live. If there are some here, they must be everywhere…because we are on the edge of nowhere here.

  • Elyse

    This says “January 28, 2012.” Is it supposed to say 2013?
