Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • Tellitlikeitis

Pretty impressive numbers for Fox. Pretty low repeat numbers for CBS shows.

Deception is DOA. It can’t even win the time slot against all reruns.

  • 1mars

Great news for The Following and look at Bones, season 8, fantastic. The end scene with Bones star David Boreanz last night was epic.

  • Alan

Oh god, The CW should move 90210 to Tuesdays and bring HoD back to Mondays.

  • Fat&UglyMax

no one cares what you have to say Max.

    Your a loser

  • alexis

Whatever the reasons are that the rating of the Following grows, I hope it continues next week.

  • halloween

How low can 90210 get…the spring ratings fall isn’t here yet?

  • Greg

Wow, that’s pathetic for 90210. When Nikita can outperform you, it’s to wrap things up and not even get a final season.

  • BigFlop

Castle (rerun) beat Deception (new) LOL
and i think this is the first time Castle beat H50 (this season)

The Following was great and beat Bones again.

  • Mike

Does anyone know what will happen to Biggest Loser once The Voice returns? Should be interesting

  • Derek Vincent

I am so, so excited about the Following. It didn’t have competition from CBS, but it still had competition from everywhere else. Growing from your premiere episode is so rare, go FOX. :)

  • ForDearLife

Repeats from CBS means nothing, as far as Bones goes anyways. CBS has beaten the show before with repeats, and Bones has either been flat, or even down. I think it’s just Bones getting into the groove, not having a DOA show following it, weighing the night down.

I’m SO proud of Bones right now! They’ve had about 3 season highs in viewers in a row now!

Great job for The Following too! Hopefully it can stay fairly steady the rest of the season. I’d hate for it to go the way of Alcatraz.

  • Jeff

90210 and Deception are DISASTERS. I am guessing 90210 will get an 11 episode send-off like Gossip Girl. Poor Anna Lynn McCord. She alone would be the only reason to watch that show. That girl deserves to be a star of a dramedy.

  • Winston Mize

Are you suggesting there is no possible overlap at all???
    I watch both.
    I know i dvr’d both last night.
Who’s to say the following has no effect on 90210? certainly not you…Certainly not I. But let’s tkae a look.
two weeks, two lows for 90210, both times in the new timeslot, both times the following has been on.
I’m just forming a thesis based on what I see.
and while I’m a diary home and my input is not very substantial at all, who’s to say that there isn’t a box home viewer like me,
Who likes his cheap beer and his fine wine as well?

  • Vanessa

No, CBS shows all been on repeats for three weeks now and once they come back all the network going to have competition.

  • Adir

    Nooooooooooooo !! i want to die !! please go watch 90210 !!

  • Juan

Wow the following went up, that’s great, good for it and bones as it looks to be gaining from having a good companion on the night, great repeat for castle, won its timeslot and got just some tenths below its average, it repeats very well obviously. Too bad about biggest loser

  • Skylar James

Is this a series low for 90210?

  • Billy

Last time CBS had the Super Bowl three years ago The Big Bang Theory set a series high 6.0 rating at 9:30 the day after (since now going higher on Thursday). The CBS Monday sitcoms will be huge next week. The other shows better look out.

  • maxsucks!!!

I’m max and I hate Revenge but infact I really watch it and love it but instead i prefer to bash it for no one will think im gay

  • Californiadgd

BRAVO at Fox, but I think that the The Following and Bones will adjust down in the finals…
