Jon Stewart and Colbert Report were the only 2 News shows to make it on the Top 100 Cable shows list for Tuesday…go figure.

Jon Stewart and Colbert are NOT news shows…no wonder you lefties are so ignorant of the facts…you think Comedies on the Comedy Channel are news…
@1966………………..that was great. Have to listen again.

I usually laugh more during the Oreilly Factor and Hannity than during Stewart and Colbert. But what do you know, you don’t even know how the 2nd amendment goes.
Bobbyv, I hate “NOW”. It should be called “NOFA” National organization for ab**tion. Their number one issues is to make all a***tions legal at any time for any reason. They were a liberal group from day one. They only support feminist. And accounting to NOW, you are only a feminist if you are Pro-a***tion. NOW will never support a Women for any office if they were conservatives. Many times they have used their power to elect what they have termed the feminist male over women.
@Mark, We are never going to agree. The Clintons are dirty. The problem is congress can’t take out a President without the help of the media. Even a special prosecutor doesn’t have the time, money or source that reporters do.
Watergate would have never gone anywhere, if the press don’t dislike Nixon so much. The press kept on top of the Watergate story until Nixon and Ford were gone and a democrat was back in the White House. It’s really is a very boring story Watergate.
The New York times broke the Whitewater story. So, the republicans had to look into it. Sadly the Times stopped looking into Whitewater. But there is so much the Clintons were loosely linked too. You can call it a witch hunt. I believe the Clintons are good at covering their tracks.

You mean spying on your political opponents? I am sorry that is much worse then getting oral sex in the whitehouse. Sad part for Nixon is he basically cleaned the floor in 1972 with McGovern that there was absolutely no point doing it
I bet usa8888, NC Jeff, Mark2, & Laurence Glavin do the dishes.
That famous phrase from Clare Booth Luce apparently applies to married men, according to a new study that finds men who help with the housework tend to have less sex.

So making guns more illegal (if thats possible) will solve the problem.

CHICAGO – Not a single gun shop can be found in this city because they are outlawed. Handguns were banned in Chicago for decades, too, until 2010, when the United States Supreme Court ruled that was going too far, leading city leaders to settle for restrictions some describe as the closest they could get legally to a ban without a ban. Despite a continuing legal fight, Illinois remains the only state in the nation with no provision to let private citizens carry guns in public.
And yet Chicago, a city with no civilian gun ranges and bans on both assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, finds itself laboring to stem a flood of gun violence that contributed to more than 500 homicides last year and at least 40 killings already in 2013, including a fatal shooting of a 15-year-old girl on Tuesday.
10 weakest state’s gun control laws. Wonder how many have 40 murders by gun in a year let alone a month?

for you coffee steve and hillbilly.

I can’t believe nobody has talked about letting women fight on the front lines. As long as they don’t lower the standards i personally don’t care. I lean more towards not allowing it, but if they pass the same test men do let them have at it.
Turn Faith3 loose on the Taliban & they will surrender in a matter of days.

@Hillbilly
The Chicago metropolitan area has close to 10M people. A bunch of those states you listed barely have 1M people. Odds are the more people you have packed into one area the higher gun violence will go up
As I said I believe a few pages back(or the previous thread) I personally think all cities/towns/etc should have the option of banning guns on the streets if they find it a problem(without anybody complaining they taking away their 2nd Amendment rights). Basically allows guns in the house or on selected areas(gun ranges) but anywhere else it’s bared unless it’s in a locked gun case.
On a Federal Level they really have to enforce the laws that are are already on the books and have mandatory background checks. I also see no need for high capacity rounds(unless somebody believes they have to take on the government)
But hey it’s just perjury.
—————————-
I see it as more stretching the truth compared to lieing(when asked if he had any relations with Lewinsky he said depends what you mean by relations).
As I said it was a waste of time and money to investigate it plain and simple and shouldn’t have been investigated in the first place. Basically the Republicans were throwing everything and the kitchen sink to try find a reason to humiliate Clinton(whitewater, lewinsky, etc) and at the end all they could find against Clinton was he was trying to play word games about something that had absolutely no effect on the country and they consider that perjury. Simple fact was their was absolutely no reason for the bj to be investigated other then political pettiness and while it was obvious Clinton was trying to spin his way out of it by playing up the definitions and meanings of words, the whole process was pointless
———————
Remember that this was not just over a BJ, he lied during a sexual harassment investigation, which to me is a bit more important and you would think would have been more important to Women’s groups, and it was not just the R’s who found him guilty. I agreed that the R’s were looking for something to pin on him but it was his fault they FOUND something to pin on him.

@Cathy “Under the law, if you add anything to a gun that makes it function as an automatic weapon the weapon becomes illegal.”
Listen rookie, the Bump Fire stock does NOT make a Semi-Automatic Weapon an Automatic Weapon. An Automatic weapon is a weapon where the trigger is pulled once and the weapon fires continuously. A Semi-Automatic weapon fires only once per trigger pull. Even with the Bump Fire stock, the weapon is only firing once per pull of the trigger…it’s just happening so fast that you can’t see it. And yes, even the ATF has approved it.
Under current Federal Law, attaching a bump fire stock alone does NOT make it an Assault or fully automatic weapon…so there’s nothing illegal about it.
Now, each individual State can add their own laws concerning the bump fire stock. The only states I know where it’s illegal to attach one is California and Minnesota. However, at the Federal level it’s totally legal to buy and attach a bump fire stock.
