I originally posted this a bit over two years ago, but with the series finale for NBC's 30 Rock tonight, I thought it was worth another look.

Somehow Jack missed the option of "launch yet another singing competition show".

    @Bill

    NBC’s management got replaced about 18 months ago.

    They can’t clean house on programming until they develop shows that are more successful than their aging veterans. Networks can only successfully develop and promote so many new shows each year. If anything, NBC should launch fewer shows and spread their promotion less thin.

    …wait, 2 years ago.

    Back when Biggest Loser was doing huge 3.0+ numbers.

    Ironically this fall when Jack tried to take NBC, in real life NBC has done the best in years. Every other fall NBC did tank!

    I highly recommend Episode 210 (title of episode, also, from season 2) – so far I think it’s the funniest one I’ve seen. Where Liz in Jack’s absence accidentally sells NBC to the Germans, and Kenneth almost boards a midnight train to Georgia (Gladys Knight appears). Other stuff, too.

    I sort of wish they developed MILF Island. It was a Survivor-type reality show where 30 12-year old boys competed for the affections of a randy 35 year old woman. But unfortunately, it remained only in the 30 Rock episode as a failed NBC pilot.

    I think, Chandler and Monica can save NBC!
    They now have their own shows but it doesn’t do well..
    So, It can be win-win for THEM.

    In a way this almost sums up TV period. If it isn’t a singing show, weight-loss show, cop show, or a half-hour sitcom… Fuggedaboudit!!

    I wonder about those people who constantly are bashing NBC. I believe the reason that they do that is because they probably don’t have a job and or they got fired by NBC and this gives them a venue
