    Damn, Suburgatory! :(

  • JP

I honestly hope TBBT destroys Idol tonight…that show has OFFICIALLY run it’s course in my opinion and has also officially JUMPED THE SHARK!

  • Yamaha

The way I see it, some shows have to struggle before they can reach the top and that will be the case for Whitney and Guys with Kids.

  • Serial Rocker

Nothing makes me laugh more around here than people who “bash” one show in favour of another and then berate their opposite numbers for doing the exact same thing. You get that you’re as bad as each other, right? Basically acting like children in the school playground in a “my dad is better than your dad” battle of halfwits.

It is possible to support one show, for example Nikita or Arrow perhaps, without hating the other or even remotely comparing the two at all. At least it is in the grown up world anyway.

Honestly, I’d “LOL” or “LMAO” at some of you, if I actually was a ten year old girl and therefore wouldn’t look totally stupid using text-speak abbreviations in actual conversation…

How DARE Arrow not adjust up! It is a crime, CW! A criiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • moshane58

I am so mad we lost our CW in my area.Have not seen Emiley Owens M.D.,Arrow or Supernatural.Better get it fixed.Love Chicago fire.

  • Samuel

    Prediction for tonight:

    5.8 Big Bang
    3.9 2.5 Men
4.9 Idol (4.5 first half, 5.3 second half)

  • Samuel

All these people saying that Idol will get a 4.2 or 4.3 are insane IMO.

You “honestly” hope? Do you typically lie when you post, supporting Idol, and are now coming clean?

Also, I’m pretty sure you don’t know what the word “officially” or the phrase “jumped the shark” mean. I find it odd that you capitilized them. Are you trying to draw attention to your inteptness with the English language?

  • CBSviewer

    @ JP

American Idol officially Jumped the Shark, seriously ?

  • thesnowleopard

    @Serial Rocker
Oh, golly, how very mature you are, bashing *everybody* else. Surely, nobody has ever, in the history of this site, noticed that fans of different shows get mad at each other and call each other names. And labeling everyone whose opinion you don’t like children is the very height of audience analysis. Good to see you taking the high road there, you sensible adult, you.

  • thesnowleopard

Yes, it was in FOX’s latest press release: “American Idol has officially jumped the shark. It’s all downhill from here, folks.” Didn’t you hear?

  • Bob

American Idol is the number one show on TV right now. Nothing is close to beating it. Now BBT might beat it tonight but that does not mean that Idol is dying. All shows are dying if that is the case. Most shows would give their left foot for 5’s and even 4’s. People saying that they hope that Idol dies are the ones that are watching shows that get 1’s. How insane are people today?????

  • Tom

@ Bag O Tools “I hate to see Arrow dip but I have to admit to not feeling a push to keep up….”

Thanks for articulating something that doesn’t get discussed much here. I experienced the same feelings before eventually throwing in the towel and deleting a bunch of programs from my DVR’s auto record menu. I dumped everything related to the CW and everything on the USA Network except Burn Notice. Life is too short to force yourself to watch television programs out of habit or based on some notion that you’ll miss something important that hasn’t (and likely won’t) happen.

American Idol is the number one show on TV right now. Nothing is close to beating it.

Eh, from a certain point of view maybe. If you exclude sports, American Idol is in fact the highest rated (A18-49) show on TV right now.

However, to say that nothing is close to beating it is absurd. The Big Bang Theory will easily beat it head-to-head and both The Big Bang Theory and The Walking Dead are likely to finish the season with higher averages than Idol.

  • Serial Rocker

Not “everybody”. Just the ones acting like children. Was pretty clear about that. And it’s not so much about not liking peoples opinions as it is finding the way they present them to be a little laughable.

    Just to clarify…

“I’m a big fan of Arrow, although I don’t really like Nikita” is fine.

“Arrow RULZZZ and Flopkita SUCKZ LOLOLZZZZ!!!!!1!!!111″ not so much…

    See how it works?

  • Perdix

It’s funny how people are underestimating AI and overestimating TBBT for the sake of their bitterness against the former. :)

  • Bizarro

You’re all forgetting the 30 Rock series finale is tonight.
It will easily nab 76 million viewers plus.

  • Lainey

I love ARROW! I haven’t missed an episode yet!! Keep ’em coming CW!

  • Justin121

You “honestly” hope? Do you typically lie when you post,

Saying “honestly” doesn’t imply that the individual who says it otherwise lies. It is simply used to stress their wish (or hope, in this case).

Also, “officially” and “jumped the shark” are commonly used terms / phrases by blog posters to express dissatisfaction with television series. Capitalization is used for extra effect.
