    @Justin
Also, “officially” and “jumped the shark” are commonly used terms / phrases by blog posters to express dissatisfaction with television series.

That doesn’t change the fact that the commenters are wrong and don’t understand what the terms mean.

Total viewership is a commonly used metric to measure the performance of TV shows and many people think it is used to determine a show’s fate. Those people are still wrong.

    Well said ;)

I loved last nights episode of SPN. It was so very well put together.
The acting was spot on. the writing was great and overall it was a very believable story.
I really do enjoy Sci-Fi and time travel is right up my alley!

It is really nice to see some of the things that J. Carver has been introducing this season.
I think bring in a new show runer definatly gave the show exactly what it needed. A nice big shot in the arm !

The show was definatly one to rememeber.

I bet after such a wonderful episode the rating should spike next week.

I was also very nie to see T.J from SGU on the episode. I had no idea he was going to be in it. Usually when an actor/actress that was on stargate it will get announced when they get a guest spot on any t.v. or movie.

I really loved the opening when they show their father, and also talked about killing the “Yellow eyed demon” and also the bit about leaving where their dad left off and hunting. the episode deinatly brought back a lot of memories from the earlier seasons.

It is nice that they ended the Jessica( Sam’s girlfiend from when Dean was in Purgatory). The whole flashback thing showing that Dog was really start h

    NBC can’t lose any longer.
It’s cruel for them to compete with American Idol and the middle which has already established years ago.

Go on and TNN’s ratings are horrible even though they compete against no big hits like American Idol.

Please Put Whitney and GWK on Tuesday slot!!

@LisaM I think if Henry Winchester had come on about 3-4 seasons ago it might have had a little more impact. All the father issues and all the “everyone dies” issues and the bond between Dean and Sam don’t have the same impact now. But at least they are trying for a new mythology, so that might lead to a positive.

I don’t get all the Nikita/Arrow comparisons. Are people saying they wish Nikita had Arrow’s timeslot?

I am really glad to see that The Neighbors ratings increased out of a repeat episode of The Middle. While Suburgatory ended up with less viewers than The Neighbors and was not able to at least maintain Modern Family’s demo. If Suburgatory comes back it needs to be shipped off to Friday night. I also really hope that ABC is able to acquire Girl Meets World. I think it is really an anticipated program and would do great on Friday paired with Suburgatory.

NBC has to be very pleased with Chicago Fire.

@coolioni Her name was Amelia. I hope she’s gone. Some fans are upset at the show writing out the supporting characters…I want most of them back soon but I didn’t feel like she had any chemistry with Sam. She seemed drab.

I thought for sure Supernatural would adjust up it has gotten a 1.0 w/slightly less amount of viewers, but for the CW network its good I guess. Arrow is still doing good, it just needs to get back to regular ratings. Hopefully Spring time, as in Seasons past don’t hurt the whole lineup.

Not impressed with The Neighbors and Suburgatory.

Chicago Fire did good. Weird to see SVU back down in the 1s the last couple weeks SVU was doing solid low 2s. Wednesday Night comedies are just as lame as Tuesday Night comedies.. Who would of thought Thursday comedies would be stronger than Tuesday nights comedies.. I guess shows are really VOICE dependent.

  • chris23

My predictions for Thursday Nights episodes:

    8:00 #1 Big Bang Theory 5.9 #2. TAAHM 3.9 #2/#1 American Idol 5.0
    #3 30 Rock 1.7/1.8 #4 Shark Tank 1.3 #5 The Vampire Diaries 1.2

    9:00 #1 Person of Interest 3.2 #2 Greys Anatomy 3.0 #3 Glee 2.6
    #4 The Office 2.2/2.3 #5 Beauty and the Beast 0.7 w/ 1.90 viewers

10:00 #1 Scandal 2.5 #2 Elementary 2.3 #3 See No Harm 2.1 (Haven’t heard much buzz on SEE NO HARM though, the only ads I seen were here on TV BY THE NUMBERS!

Arrow is a mediocre show, the actor Stephen Amell has not charisma and charm and his pecs are not attracting. The viewers are smarter than producers and directors.

  • stephanie

    love al

  • Lalo

Chicago Fire’s numbers look so healthy, they need to do a spin-off in a couple of years.

    @ Ernie

I agree Whitney/GWK are suffering, a lot of us know what these two shows are capable of in a better timeslot. I bet you if they put Whitney and Guys with Kids on Tuesdays these two shows would take off like Chicago Fire.

  • MichaelChickless

    @Jumped the Shark

Is Fonzie a judge on Idol this season?

  • Slim Jim

SPN has really jumped the shark (and then some). It is amazing how such pablum passes for entertainment these days…

  • Chuck T

    Good for Chicago Fire!

  • DonnaT

I like both Arrow and Nikita. I suspect some of Arrow’s decline is due to not enthusiastically embracing The CW’s version of Arrow’s Oliver Queen as a “Batman/Dark Knight clone” with family issues. Teenage “Thea”s issues are too similar to Ringer’s Juliette’s and Revenge’s Charlotte’s and probably some fans(I know I was) are/were expecting Dinah (Laurel) Lance to become “The Black Canary” already – maybe this is planned toward the end of the season or not all – there’s no reason The CW has to incorporate all “Green Arrow canon and his associates” into their reimagining – and that would be a shame because KC as SPN’s “Ruby 1″ was kickass character even though the character “Ruby” was not universally liked in SPN’s fandom. As only high minded lawyer, Laurel Lance is a bit dull. I like Diggle but the complaints are valid- Arrow needs more action than there was in the last few episodes.

While everybody is screaming “zombie apocalypse” about The Neighbors and Suburgatory’s ratings, there is nothing to be worried about. Those two are paired with new episodes of The Middle and Modern Family so they are very well likely to survive the rest of the season. And with the even lower ratings of Malibu Country, Last Man Standing, and Happy Endings, there is absolutely no competition. Everybody screaming that these two shows are flops are going to be disappointed when they return in the fall.

  • Kenny

Arrow is still doing pretty well for a CW show.
