DREAMS! DRAMA! DESPERATION!

IT’S HOLLYWOOD WEEK! ON “American Idol

HEART-POUNDING “American Idol” HOLLYWOOD ROUNDS FILLED

WITH TRIUMPHS AND TEARS BEGIN FOR CONTESTANTS

NEXT WEDNESDAY ON FOX

Hollywood Rounds Begin with the Guys’ Performances Wednesday, February 6;

Girls Battle It Out Starting Wednesday, February 13;

Top 40 Semifinalists Announced Thursday, February 14

Whether auditioners received a unanimous “yes” from Mariah, Randy, Nicki and Keith or had the judges battling over their fates, it’s a clean slate in Hollywood for the lucky contestants who are one step closer to becoming the next American Idol. For the first time in the “Hollywood Rounds,” it’s guys vs. guys and girls vs. girls, as they compete for a spot in the coveted Top 40 Semifinalists.

The “Hollywood Rounds” will be the toughest audition yet, but for some contestants, it will be a life-changing opportunity; for others, the end of the road. First, they will face the judges and sing a cappella, trusting only in their talent to make it another day. Those that survive will then join forces with one another – trusting in friends and, possibly, foes – for the heart-pounding, sleep-deprived group day. Those who stand out will move on to the solo day, giving the remaining contestants one more chance to impress the judges and make the Top 40.

Drama and desperation escalate behind the scenes as the pressure mounts during the intense “Hollywood Rounds” which kick-off with the guys, competing on Wednesday, Feb. 6 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Thursday, Feb. 7 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). The girls get their chance to win over the judges beginning Wednesday, Feb. 13 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). At the end of the girls’ second and final “Hollywood Round,” on Thursday, Feb. 14 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), only the Top 40 semifinalists – 20 guys and 20 girls – will remain.

    Flop Idol

  • hahaha

    AI Now have the same rating that The Voice FLOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP (i’m a x factor fan bitches)

  • Crysti

    You are a troll, The Voice didn’t even get any 5’s for season 3, while idol has, and The X Factor’s ratings flopped this last year.

  • Jay

    Obvious people don’t know the definition of “flop”

    Flop Idol? What idiots.

  • Holly

    Obvious people don’t know the definition of “flop”

    I think that fact has been well established this season.

    I hope it doesn’t fall further than this because if it does, the executives are going to be kicking themselves for nothing. They’re probably thinking, “It’s the only highest rated show we got as of right now.” Thing is, it may be to the network but not in front of the other networks. They need to go back to the days of In Living Color, 90210, Melrose Place, and Martin, or even go the pay TV route and not really censor much just to keep themselves afloat, or if the censorship rules are too much, just have shows only be rated TV-PG and no higher.

  • TVMAN

    The Flop Factor and The Voice are much lower than IDOL.. Get ur facts staight

  • JR35

    Idol surely is no longer the pop-culture phenomenon it once was- but, it’s still one of the top-rated programs, so no flopping going on here.

  • WOWZA

    idol has a 4.4 in 18 – 34. ore than the rest of the networks combined on wednesdays.

    18-34 is Idols bait now.

  • Derek Vincent

    No chair episodes?? What the Hell??! The best part from the early half of the season.

  • Guy

    Can someone tell me where are the winners of the Voice?
    How many number 1 singles?
    Top 5 Billboard ?

    I don’t think the Voice has delivered yet.

  • Billy martins

    I love idol it”s getting better ratings than x-factors that”s what ratings are for?in my opinion if X factor what idols ratings they need to stop firing their judgesand try to get a permanent person to replace them cause it loses a lot of money for a broadcast station like Fox to promote x-factor each year & they audience start to lose interest in they show.But I”m still happy of the ratings that idols get each week but I”m still gonna watch X factor this coming fall!!.
