^ by the way, never farmed a day. As far as oil companies, that’s risky also. One feeds the world, the other powers it. The way thing are going the gov, or china, will own both.

@Ninja ” I live in a farming community, risky business, can’t control the weather and if you have livestock, no days off.”
And that, my friend, is exactly why I like the safety nets the Government has in place for all Americans.
Have a good weekend…be back on Monday.
@Mark2, Obama has been giving many of the 1%, taxers payers money through his green energy and stim. programs for four years.

“I can’t pinpoint it, but I’m feeling optimistic, and it’s not phony. It’s not wishful thinking. It’s not phony hopefulness. I just have a sense in me that this country is not gone, that the people of this country are not gonna put up with this.” -Rush limbaugh
“The IRS announced that the cost of a family health care premium, once Obamacare is implemented, is $20,000 a year. You were told your premium was gonna go down $2,500 a year! I guarantee you, people didn’t vote for that.” -Rush Limbaugh
“The labor force participation rate is down 8.5 million jobs since Obama was inaugurated. There are 8.5 million fewer ‘openings’ in common lingo. Today they’re reporting and going gaga over 157,000 jobs created in January. The media is not telling you that 169,000 jobs were destroyed in January.” -Rush Limbaugh
“Many of our low-information voters recognize John Kerry as one of the stars in the Addams Family. He played Lurch.” -Rush Limbaugh
RUSH: One measure of the success of our low-information outreach is that now everybody’s using that phrase, “low-information voter.” We started that. It’s taken off out there, Todd. Just stick with me, Todd. You haven’t gone wrong yet.
Washington Discovers Chuck Hagel Isn’t Brilliant (But We Knew a Decade Ago)
I told you yesterday that we’re gonna have audio sound bites of the hearings of Chuck Hagel to be secretary of defense. It is amazing. It’s a made-to-watch event to listen to the ruling class. Republicans, Democrats, media and elected people, inside the Beltway, they’re beside themselves.
They can’t believe how badly he did. They can’t believe how ill-prepared and how unprepared he was. They can’t believe how stupid he was. They can’t believe it, because they had talked themselves into believing that Chuck Hagel was brilliant. I got a sound bite of me that we resurrected from September 23, 2002. We don’t have anything of Hagel back then, but it is of me remarking on how everybody was talking how brilliant Chuck Hagel was back then. Because he was ripping into Bush, of course. He was ripping into America’s defense strategy, America’s foreign policy.

@ Chris Matthews Smears John McCain as an ‘Angry’ Vietnam Vet Having a ‘Flashback’
Perfect!! Too bad I didn’t catch him saying that. That’s great!!
Bravo!
Wow lets pray tonight that certain people get fired at CNN!
Thats a Bizarre comment!
I thought Sarah Palin was the best thing Fox News had going for them.

ibsles–you should be embarrassed quoting a village idiot like slimebaugh….
Bill Maher had some great remarks regarding Limbaugh & Beck on his program this evening.
Brilliant!!!
No matter your party affiliation.
Wow, I just noticed this…CNN Cancels Soledad O’Brien Show…One down, now if we can get rid of Piers Morgan, Anderson Cooper, Ed Shultz, Chris Mathews, Larry Odonnel, Al Sharpton and Rachel Maddow, we might be getting some real news out of CNN and MSNBC…lol
Bobby V., If it use a court the judge would have thrown all of Mark2′s post out because the information he is providing is irrelevant.
@Mark2 – Cut more defense spending? Isn’t Obama blaming the neg. GDP growth on the last defense spending cut?
If you want to talk about the Top cable shows, go post that information on the top cable shows forum. This page isn’t about the top 100 cable shows.
The republicans have brought up farm and business subsidies many times. We hear more about entitlement reform because that is where most of our money is spent. That’s where the biggest amount of money can be saved. No one wants to take money away from the truly disabled. But we do have record number of people on disability claiming mental distress and back problems. So, we need to reform the system so we can catch the cheaters.
We also need to address never worked and low income support welfare. With state, federal and city programs available it’s better to not working or make less the $30,000 a year.
Here is an example for someone in Ypsilanti, MI. A single mother of one child, gets $1000 for housing, $100 a month for electric cost, free water and sewage from the city, two hot meals from meals on wheels 5 days a week and 4 meals to be reheated for the weekend, a $2000 a month government check, $450 a month of food stamps, $200 a month from WIC, free childcare, free YMCA membership, free bus pass for your family, and lots more. Add all that up it’s over $60,000 a year not to work.
You get everything but the $2000 a month check if you make under $30,000 a year. But once you make over $30,000 a year you loss everything but the food stamps.
Now, different state and cities have different programs. The first thing we need to do is find out how much people are getting in total. If every place is like Ypsilanti we can cut aid funding.
Also for aid given to able body people, republicans want to set up a system where person have to work for their welfare check if they aren’t working and where you only less a percent of your aid as you make more money with a job.
Lastly, what the republicans what to do with SS and other aid is change the way increases are done. When working people are taking pay-cuts, SS and aid shouldn’t be giving increases.
