   @Mark2 You are full of it when it comes to the BIG change in the GOP, that it’s to far right. Every party has a few idiots. The liberal press keeps pointing out the same person over and over. Republican wouldn’t accept Reagan today. That’s the funniest thing that I’ve read in a month. You were joking, right?

   Food stamps are the smallest part of entitlement programs and republican are not looking at changing them. They talk about them to show how back things are in our country today.

   Is that all? We spend over $900 Billion on Sefense Spending…ouch!!! That’s 10 times as much as your 85 Billion.

   We need to cut spending starting with Defense. I say we cut it by 50% and save over $450 Billion annually.

   Bill Clinton wouldn’t be accepted in the D party today. Bill was POTUS more recent than Reagan. So which party has moved further to the extreme faster? Willard was a mushy moderate trying to be a conservative. He didn’t really believe in what he was rambling about & it showed.

   Bill C reduced spending, reformed welfare, signed DOMA, went to war in Bosnia, signed NAFTA & cut the cap gains tax. Bill is a right wing knuckle dragger.

   Sounds like a conservative Republican to me. I’d argue Newt pushed Clinton to the right. If Newt had more self control who would have wiped the floor with Nobama. Willard’s money advantage & Newt’s tendency to bloviate doomed him. JMO

    Mark2 is exactly right about the GOP being taken over by right wing fringe–Reagan would not recognize it. AND the main GOP strategists say the same thing–in fact, if the GOP doesn’t change, it will NEVER win another election.

    You are right, the GOP is to liberal in their spending and need to get off moral issues. We can not spend have a spending more than we make of over 1.6 trillion a year

    The 6th Century religious fanatics (evangelicals and Catholics, and other, too) are against birth control so they are raising a big stink tieh Obamacare. Hobby Lobby and its religious fanatic owner in Oklahoma want to deny their employees coverage because they (Hobby Lobby) are caught in a 6th Century time warp. Can you imagines such a thing in the 21st Century???
