'Do No Harm' Premiere Flops, How Many More Weeks Will It Last? (Poll)

Even on the ratings train of woe that is NBC's early 2013, last night's 0.9 adults 18-49 rating for Do No Harm spells near instant doom.

But how soon is instant?

Edit: Because someone asked about it on Twitter, I'll add that The Paul Reiser Show lasted 2 weeks in the spring of 2011 after it premiered with a 1.1 rating.

All the new drama buzz has been for “House of Cards” on Netflix this week.

Netflix has the benefit of getting worldwide coverage for its new drama – papers in Britain to TV news in Taiwan are covering it. If you mention “House of Cards” on Twitter you could be watching the programme in any one of 40 countries.

The outmoded NBC don’t have a chance to create buzz for new shows when they limit their promos to a few ads on their woefully watched network.

At least the likes of Fox and HBO are open to showing their new dramas the same week internationally. NBC/Comcast don’t have a clue.

next week it will be those shows where they air once ot twice but after that you won’t ever see it again

  • Shepherd

I think that at least wait to see how a previously un-aired (online) episode does, but I chose 3 (can’t move rock center now) because I can’t think of anything they might have to air in it’s place. Of course it is February, Giving it more than one sweeps episode sounds unrealistic now.
I would love to be a fly on the wall over at NBC today.

  • ROLY

It was quite similar ,in it,s own way to
    AWAKE.The bigshots canceled it and
    brought back a copycat.
    WOWWWWWWWWWWW

Adjusting the schedule again is only going to alienate viewers even more at this point.

    What viewers?

I say one more week then pulled for Revolution or Grimm repeats then Hannibal premiers sometime in April.

Good thing I did not see it, its promo’s looked terrible and the people said its is terrible. It will be good bear food.

  • alexjones

was gonna watch this, not gonna bother now, at most it’ll get one more episode but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s yanked before then.

  • Potato

One more week, pulled for Rock Center, Hannibal premiers in March

  • Bitter Ringer Fan

I say they will air 1 more episode and once they see it got a 0.7 (i’m assuming), it will be cancel. They should consider airing repeats of their highest rated (scripted) show Revolution, that way it may create some buzz and more people will join when it comes back in late march.

  • CookyMonzta

They’ll give it 2 more weeks and it’s all over. It will not make it to March.

  • Shepherd

Assuming they’ll want to pull this before Deception, will DNH’s ratings have any effect on Deception? Do they have enough programing to replace both? anyone know?
Btw, I didn’t think DNH was that bad. Not nearly as bad as the rough cut promo I saw, but I still think My own Worst Enemy was way better.

Time to bring back Law & Order: LA?

  • DenverDean

Someone mention CF repeats – that’s unlikely since NBC has burned a lot of CF repeats on Saturdays. They are limited in the number of times they can show it. The best bet is to move CF to Thursday 10/9 move Rock Center to Wed 10/9 (it is counterprogramming CSI/Nashville). Granted there will be three dramas on at Thursday at 10, but NBC has to decide if they want to be a player again on Thursday.

  • Jim

    Welcom back Rock Center

  • Ellen

If I were NBC, I would put repeats of Chicago Fire or Revolution in this timeslot… starting next week.

  • BL

    @DenverDean

Chicago Fire did well after The Voice for one episode back in November. I think it can replace The New Normal and Go On in late March.

DNH should move to Fridays and then it will certainly be cancelled.

  • xwiseguyx

NBC ran all the episodes of The Firm so Do No Harm may move to Saturdays, but that’s about it.

  • sfstewart

Do Not Harm is a bad version of My Own Worse Enemy….which was cancelled too, and MOWE was good.

Bill, I can’t find you on twitter…your name?
