Production is now under way on the fourth season of TNT's hit series Rizzoli & Isles, from Warner Horizon Television. The drama, which wrapped its third season in December ranking among the Top 3 original series of 2012, stars Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander.

TNT has ordered 15 episodes for the fourth season of Rizzoli & Isles, which is slated to begin this summer.

With Dallas 2.0 sad S2 arrival, TNT should consider extending R&I and MC to 18 episodes – especially since they air split seasons now.

I like watching R&I to see how they screw up “faking” Boston on the back lot of Warners Burbank and locations in SoCal! :)

I would LOVE to see 18+ R&I eps next season! Great show!

I read that this time TNT would air the 15 R&I episodes in the Summer. No more split season after the low Winter ratings (not low, but not as high as the ones in Summer).

While reiterating my told you so about Dallas, it has to be noticed that while bad, its ratings were no worse than the ones that R&I did in its winter run. It’s 18-49 and 25-54 (since some people here think they matter ) were the same, and its 18-34 were a little better (0.6 for Dallas vs 0.5 for R&I. Still laughable for both)

I don’t expect Dallas to do much worse than its premiere. The lowest it can realistically get it’s a 0.7. An original can’t get lower ratings than that on TNT.

The problem is that people don’t give a crap about either show. The novelty wore off for both shows, so unless they are of a great quality, they are both destined to go down. Given that one is a soap and the other is a silly procedural, it will happen the latter.

The only thing that can work in their favor is TNT crapstatic development of new shows. A 50 year old bounty hunter? A crime working duo? Yawn. A straightforward, sappy medical drama? Yawn yawn.
