Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • Grey

Well, well, well. “Scandal” and “POI.” :D

  • BL

DNH will be gone within 2 weeks.

  • mike

    Big Bang down big

  • Jeff (Canada)

Guys guys guys, we’re all missing what’s important here.

    Big Bang thrashed Idol! :)

  • tv_viewer

I knew Do No Harm wouldn’t be a hit but didn’t expect Do No Harm to be below the Vampire Diaries. Go Person of Interest!

  • Clark

How on earth did Do Now Harm average a 0.9?? That was a very good show! People just don’t like NBC I guess.

  • President Fitzgerald Grant

    SCANDAL!

  • Pat

I actually enjoyed Do No Harm. interesting premise and it kept me interested. but those numbers are god awful. Bear chow for sure.

  • WoWza

Glee did well all things considered.

Idol dropped a point almost, Glee dropped about half of that.
Against Greys – Glee has a lot of next day and weekend viewing. Its a hit but it needs a different time slot next season (and the next, and the seventh and final season it can go anywhere. Yes, I just predicted 7 seasons).

  • MAX

REVENGE AND SCANDAL ARE BOTH GREAT SHOWS! IT WAS STUPID FOR ME TO COMPARE TWO SHOWS NOT ON THE SAME NIGHT AND ON THE SAME NETWORK.

BOTTOM LINE: BOTH WILL BE BACK NEXT SEASON.

  • Greg

WHAT THE WHAT DO NO HARM? o.O Even Made in Jersey had better premiere ratings.

  • Hannah

You flipped Glee and the Office. 6 is before 5 when counting down.

  • jT

@Jon292992 Django unchained work as good promo for kerry and scandal.

  • MichaelChickless

    Go Person of Interest!

Huge ouch for Do No Harm!

  • battye

Are the half hours or 15 minutes available for 30 Rock? I’m very interested to know what it peaked at. If it averaged 1.9 across the hour it might have gone mid 2′s towards the end?

  • WoWza

    Idol, too.
Wait, am I mistaken that a 4.5 is good?

    Am I?

    Especially for FOX.

A;so people need to be paying attention to 18-34 for the show this season (For Idol and Glee). The numbers are impressive.

  • Abc123

TBBT and Idol pulled each other down. Thursdays are going to be a battle between those 2 monsters.

Person of Interest had a good night. Grey’s down a smidge, but still great for it.

Do No Harm… just… wow, thanks for showing up. What a flop.

  • Dave

Really happy for Beauty and the Beast :D

  • Oliver

Idol actually held up pretty well. A 15% drop, which is less than usual.

30 Rock ends its run as the 2nd highest rated NBC comedy of the week after The Office, which is what it was for so many years.

DNH totally dead. Will NBC pull it before next week?

  • s0303

yikes do not harm…i knew it would bomb, but not that bad..

good to see tvd and batb hold up :) hopefully they don’t adjust down…maybe beauty can come back next year with 0.7′s…
