Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

& Depending on quality, I’d like to see Cult renewed. Seems weird, I tend to like weird.

  • Sam

Nikita is the lowest rated show for CW THIS year. Not 3 years in a row.

  • Andrew

@davie well yes SPn pulls 3x 90210 numbers but like I said It Has A STEADy fanbase .

  • Sam

@Brandy Correction *not their lowest rated show anymore. Introducing, 90210.

  • Andrew

@brandy well it seems to really attract fans of arrow . And do u remember what a rerun of arrow with Nikita got this season??’

  • david

Not surprised to see Nikita down this week because everybode was new too. To bad Last Man Standing and Malibu CCountry were down too or one of them was.

  • Brandy

Sam,Nikita is thier lowest rate d show and has been all three season, but yes GG,90210&Emily Owens MD have joined her in the 0.4 or lower club after Nikita hit there first..There was an article on character deaths last season, late last season even stating”Nikita is the lowest rated scripted show on cw”.Plus, total viewers dont matter, just demo and this week ,nikita,Emily Owens,&90210 tie at 0.4, so that does still make her the lowest rated cw show and Nikita could be adjusted down Mon.

  • Max

    LOL Nikita. Nikita >>>>>>>>>> revenge

  • Cass rowlwland

Last man standing is doing good 1.4 is ok

  • DougF

I’ve heard Nikita isn’t the slam dunk renewal some people think it is. People might cite syndication but there is some thinking that Nikita isn’t gonna fetch anything significant as it pertains to rights. The only show from CW/WB that has been a success in syndication is Supernatural.

Then there is the budget factor. CW could very well axe Nikita to free up money for whatever pilots they order to series. While going with some type of game show in the fall and Top model in the winter/spring at 8 and a new show repeat at 9 on Friday

  • networkman

@s0303, I agree that ABC should try Shark Tank @8pm and then a special airing of the comedies in the 9pm hour. It wouldn’t hurt to see how they perform after a stronger lead in and at a later time. Last Man Standing is a keeper regardless. I feel it would be able to grow and garner high 1’s and close to 8 million viewers. Malibu Country is on life support.

  • Fake Me Out

The boys should start a new thread to discuss how low will Nikita go as the season wears on … will it hit 0.2 and go sub 1 million in total viewers?

Since a 4th season is deemed as likely, the other topic for discussion is what does the CW do with the show? Leave it on Fridays to burn off the final season? Hold it in reserve as spackle although it’s hard to imagine a show doing that much worse than Nikita itself? Schedule it for summer burn off? Air a test pattern and wait to see how long before anyone notices?

And finally, barring some miraculous 4th season boost in ratings, are any but the delusional looking at a 5th season or is next year when Nikita at long last turns into Purina Bear Chow?

  • omabin

Back in October before the comedies had premiered, I was always arguing that Shark Tank should be left alone at 8 and be used as a lead-in for the comedies at 9. Then the comedies premiered big and I was apparently proven wrong. But now I think ABC should go back to it. I doubt they will do the move this late considering the comedies don’t have that many more episodes (I think 7 each), but it would be worth trying.

  • Dave

Nikita wont fetch anything significant here in the US. That’s a more than likely scenario, however, internationally, especially eastern countries I believe is where Nikita will syndicate better.

  • AppleStinx

At .5 ‘Nikita’ still had room to dip… talk about sinking in very shallow water.

  • networkman

Blue Bloods is on FIRE when it comes to total viewers. It is able to garner more viewers on a Friday night then some of those shows throughout the week that pulls in the desired demo numbers. Glee with a 2.1, Scandal pulling in 2.7, Chicago Fire a 2.0, etc. But none of them are able to interest 11.40 million viewers. And Blue Bloods 1.5 demo is really acceptable on Friday.

  • Dave

According to the new index, Nikita clearly isn’t the lowest rated show anymore.

    Here: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2013/01/29/cw-90210-ratings-are-terrible-how-can-it-be-a-toss-up-for-cancellation-or-renewal/167097/

  • Brandy

Sam, tbseriesfinale, nikita season three even states nikita IS the lowest rated cw show. There was an article late last season too about the budget cuts/character deaths saying”nikita is the lowest rated scripted show on cw”.Also, shows that arent the lowest rated very rarley get moved to fri ,especially in thier early seasons.
DougF where did you that? Im not a nikita fan, just curious.

  • JR35

Last Man Standing had a minute overrun, so will Malibu be adjusted down to a 1.0?

Shark Tank- which also had a minute overrun- continues as a solid performer.

  • Brandy

Sam, once Emily Owens ends next week, Nikita and 90210 WiLL be the lowest rated cw shows.I also expect Nikita to fall in a month about with DST and Grimms return and the fact it falls in spring.
