   Anderson Cooper’s 10pm show is set to be slashed by CNN chief Jeff Zucker to make room for a big new hire, network sources have revealed.

   Kudos GE ( I choke as I say it) Everyone should watch this.

   This was on Rock Center with Brian Williams a night or so ago….. (just get past the commercial and the interview starts.)

   And good old General Electric (G.E.) comes through again with breaking technology

   With pump prices at their highest level on record for this time of year, the stage is set for an even greater climb in gasoline prices and expenditures than in 2012. Retail gasoline prices have surged 17 cents in a week to top $3.50 a gallon on average, posting the highest prices on record for the beginning of February

   With all the changes at CNN, MSNBC will have to take a long hard look at their line up because if it works at CNN they wont be taking viewers from FOX the will steal them from MSNBC

   OK, I did this really quick but here is what it’s averaged for the last three weeks. Mon – Thurs 25-54 ratings drop on Fridays for each network.

   Fox news has 40% less viewers on friday
   CNN 25%
   MSNBC 14%
   CNBC 9%

   Clearly Fox news losses a lot of their views on Friday night and the weekend. What should Fox news do?

   go out and meet their viewers for a Friday night beer! I really dont think it is a big concern for them. They do not look for weekend numbers by the shows and reruns they ut up IMO

   Rat, I’m sure really soon USA is going to tell us where we can find that 2.69 a gallon gas. You know you and me just live in the wrong place.

   We got the light fluffy airy snow today. Can’t even made a snowball with it. So, no snowmen for us. At least it’s light to shovel.

   What kind of snow did you get Rat?

   we got about 4 of fluffy stuff but it warmed into the 20′s so it got a little packable. We are done now until tomorrow afternoon when we are supposed to get a couple more.

    For all the undereducated righti wingers: gasoline prices in the US have NOTHING to do with the amount of American oil produced. That’s a function of world oil prices (which this week have been influenced by the Saudis cutting production to maintain a target profit for themselves), refineries shutting down or cutting production to influence prices, and Wall Street gambling–the most weight being put on the first variable. Presidents have nothing to do with gas prices but Obama has increased the miles per gallon which helps some.

    by doing the right thing for the auto industry–being the catalyst for the auto industry raising mpg for all vehicles….over the objections of the GOP…

    Rat–I like to pull your leg about gas prices. It was so funny listening to Lian Ryan and Robme saying the Pres was responsible for gas prices…so I wondered if they would adulate the Pres if gas prices dropped, for whatever reason…

    Inflation my friend, we are producing more through fracking and shale. All things the left is against. Demand is low but prices are going to soar in the spring.

    Hey Rat, did you hear, the auto industry hasn’t been working on improving mpg for the last 37 years. Obama was the catalyst of it.

    I guess this piece of information is false:

    Or did Barry come to Washington, DC at 14 and help Congress write this?

    Cathy–the auto industry has been slowed tremendously by the GOP lately because they don’t want better standards. If you analyzed your MBA cases like you analyze on this site, there is NO way you got an MBA on your own….
