   I can only analyze facts…. Not the BS you print on this site.
   The autos build what the customer wants and they have been working on getting every mpg out of cars for years. You think they put the MPG in their TV ads to make Obama happy.

   Look at the MPG the Buick Park Ave and now the Buick Lacross get. GM didn’t do that for the government. The customer wanted a high end car with great gas millage and GM gave it to them.

   Cathy –the GOP has been obstructing mpg for years. But Obama stepped up and made things happen. Furthermore, sometimes you don’t want to let the capitalistic system solve all probems by itself, because it can’t do so in a timely fashion. Sometimes, it is necessary for the government to lend assistance–for ecample, the railroads in the 1860′s, the space program, disease cures, stimulus used to fight depressions/recessions, and on and on.

    What type of person are you USA8888? I told everyone I have dyslexia and you keep picking on my typos and misspellings. Your spelling and grammar is worse then mine at times. If I knew I was being graded on this site, I’d have a proof reader.

    And talk about not being about to analyze things in even a rudimentary way, have you looked in the mirror? Oh wait, you don’t analyze things. You turn on Pier Morgan or Rachel Maddow and let them tell you what to think.

    that’s a nice try…but 37 years ago, I was getting 8 mpg…now i’m getting like 37 mpg….and I bought my car in 2004…long before Obama became president…point proven false…

    by doing the right thing for the auto industry–being the catalyst for the auto industry raising mpg for all vehicles….over the objections of the GOP…

    you are aware that those industry increases in mpg haven’t even taken effect? So nothing Obama has done has done anything as yet, and will probably be reversed long before they take effect…And of course, with all the green cars Government Motors is selling (pause for laughter), they are now talking about taxing cars by the mile, since those overpriced cars are paying their fair share? lol

    Just ignore him Cathy…I’m fluent in typo, so I don’t even notice half the time if someone mistypes…plus this is a blog, not an english class, so who cares…here, I’ll really drive any english teachers who happen to come in off their rocker…worked so good on my senior english teacher in HS, she flunked me, and I was an A and B student…”I ain’t got no money today” lol

    @usa8888 – please give me an example of how the GOP has been blocking MPG for years? link to a site please.

    Please give me a link that shows how Obama made cars get better MPG? Is he an engineer? Did he bring a special panel of engineers into the autos to work on MPG?

    No what Obama did was tell the auto companies that THEY NEED TO FIND A WAY to get up to 54 MPG.

    You are a nut they didn’t solve a darn thing.

    Stan T. I was making fun of USA with both of those statement. The one about MPG and the one about my typos.

    I do have dyslexia and that is the main reason I post on blogs. I always have to work on it.
