After years of collecting data, Democrats are considering selling your political opinions to credit card companies.
Propublica reported:
For years, state Democratic parties have been gathering information about individual voters’ political leanings. They have noted down the opinions voters shared with canvassers — which candidates they said they supported or their positions on policy issues.
Now, the record of what people told Democratic volunteers may go up for sale — and not just to political groups. Democrats are looking into whether credit card companies, retailers like Target or other commercial interests may want to buy the information.

Anyone with a strong financial background here that can explain to me the strength of the stock market?
Europe is shrugging off Spain’s largest bank, that sank the most in six months as Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy denied corruption allegations
In Italy , former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, is causing unease.
Greece’s G0lden Dawn Party is back in full force.
During the first full week of January, an astounding $114 billion was pulled out of U.S. banks. That is the largest amount that we have seen moved out of U.S. banks in one week since 2001.

I think we should just have year round all the time voting! When you feel like casting a vote just go online and do it! Make election day any day you want. make it so your 4 year old cna vote for you so you wont be bothered. DONT inconveiniance anyone by making them do it on a particular day, that would be absurd!!! Dont even think about putting in more booths or locations to shorten the time and lines cuz that is even MORE absurd!
WHAT A CROCK OF CRAP!!!!
Waiting Times at Ballot Boxes Draw Scrutiny
WASHINGTON — With studies suggesting that long lines at the polls cost Democrats hundreds of thousands of votes in November, party leaders are beginning a push to make voting and voter registration easier, setting up a likely new conflict with Republicans over a deeply polarizing issue.
White House officials have told Congressional leaders that the president plans to press for action on Capitol Hill, and Democrats say they expect him to highlight the issue in his State of the Union address next week. Democrats in the House and Senate have already introduced bills that would require states to provide online voter registration and allow at least 15 days of early voting, among other things.
I GIVE UP!!!! We are SOOOOOOOO Srewed!
ICE ex-chief: Nondeport rules would’ve spared 9/11 hijackers
The former chief of deportations in the Bush administration will testify to Congress on Tuesday that President Obama’s new nondeportation policies would have let the Sept. 11 hijackers remain in the country even if they had been picked up in the months before their deadly attacks.
And the current chief of the union that represents Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will tell the House Judiciary Committee that ICE agents are now required to wait until most illegal immigrants have three misdemeanor convictions before they can be arrested and put in deportation proceedings
Leaked Obama administration memo sets out case for killing US citizens
Lawyers give ‘rules’ on killing senior al-Qaida members, and seek to justify drone attacks abroad
The detailed circumstances in which a US government may order the killing of an American citizen who is a high-ranking member of al-Qaida have been revealed in a leaked memo prepared by Obama administration lawyers.
The document, acquired by NBC and dating from 2011, lays out for the first time the precise rationale for carrying out targeted killings of senior al-Qaida members who are US citizens, and who are believed to pose an “imminent threat of violent attack” against Amercia.
Although the white paper deals specifically with the issue of when and how the president can order the killing of a US citizen who is a member of al-Qaida, it also provides one of the most comprehensive accounts of the wider international legal framework the US believes supports its controversial drones policy

Honesty? In this day and age the stock markets strength cannot be measured in long term or short term trends; they react to even the slightest and most non important events now.
Used to be a fairly steady flow of investors that did not react on a day to day basis, that’s why today the market is so fragile and any one small event could send it crashing.
Back in 2008′s crash, one memo started the panic and we all know what happened.

Now days one big investor deciding to take profit can cause a particular stock to plummet. It is suspected that that is what happend to APPLE a couple of weeks ago. One starts profit taking an a bunch follow as not to get burned.
The global economy has the overall effect ans does political posturing here. But right now the best investment return remains the stock market due to the low ofr non-exsisting interest rates so if a few start taking profits and it starts crossing over to a few major companies it could cause a major sell off that starts the tumble!
@Ratboy
Just read your post before I got off, agreed.
Also there is a real concern about all the money the fed is pumping too because the investors know at some point the paper will have to be called back into the system and paid for, and as of today my friend there is nothing to pay for it with, can you say Super Quick and super hyper inflation?

Court: NYTimes’s Request for New York City Gun Owners Violates Law
As did the previous release of a list of gun owners.
A New York appellate court has ruled that the New York Times’s request for a list of gun owners in New York City, under the Freedom of Information Law, violates the state’s statute. The ruling overturns in part a lower court’s ruling.

@Ratboy,
“There must be some excuse for why OReilly’s ratings were down, but I was watching something else, so I don’t know for sure what it was.”
I knew Ingrahm was in for OReily and I thought that Hannity had something else on but I was watching Gold Rush so could not verify. It has since been verified that Hannity was a rerun.
So you see Micheal you have put quotes around something that I never said or posted and you have misrepresented the truth. I would guess tht you would be a shoe in for a job at MSNBC, MediaMatters, or Think Progress.
As a refresher here is the exact post that I posted (you could have put quotation marks around this one

Pathway to citizenship could increase Obamacare cost up to $300 billion over a decade
Any immigration package in which current illegal immigrants are made eligible for ObamaCare — in the form of either exchanges or Medicaid — could increase costs to the federal government by between $120 billion to $200 billion in its first decade, according to internal calculations by the Republican side of the Senate Budget Committee that were obtained exclusively by The Daily Caller.
GOP Senate Budget Committee staffers explained to TheDC that the estimates assume that the law’s provision capping total spending on exchange subsidies, which is set to begin in 2019, is enforced.
However, should the provision fall by the wayside, as some analysts believe it could, the staffers estimate the cost of Obamacare could increase between $210 billion to $300 billion over the next 10 years.

Top Democrat warns against using term ‘illegal immigrants’
Opening the first immigration hearing of the new Congress, the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee warned his colleagues not to use the term “illegal immigrant” as the debate goes on.
“I hope no one uses the term illegal immigrants here today. Our citizens are not — the people in this country are not illegal. They are are out of status. They are new Americans that are immigrants,” said Rep. John Conyers Jr., Michigan Democrat

Seven Million Americans Will Lose Healthcare Coverage Thanks to Obamacare
Today the Congressional Budget Office reported that at least 7 million Americans will lose their healthcare plan thanks to Obamacare.
The Washington Times reported:
“President Obama’s health care law will push 7 million people out of their job-based insurance coverage — nearly twice the previous estimate, according to the latest estimates from the Congressional Budget Office released Tuesday.”
