Below Glee, The Voice, Undercover Boss, The Office, House.. it’s a failure, will never be a hit.

@jean: if it holds, it’s better than The Office

  • DaxJackson

If it holds, it’s do much better than I thought it would have after the the delay and airing out of primetime.

  • Alex

Not a great sign. Given the late start time though it could certainly have been a lot worse and could still get much worse.

  • RJ

Agreed. With the late start, I was expecting below a 9.0 HH number.

What was The Office’s metered market ratings?

  • TomJH

It will definitely have the lowest 18-49 rating since Alias.

  • Dan S

More importantly is will this show attract any new viewers ? From what I heard it was a snoozefest last night. Was it able to crack 20M for overall viewers ?

  • PhilipM

The football lead-in was tremendous. Being on at 11:15 PM and going past midnight doesn’t help, though.

  • CC

The episode was actually very good with alot of funny moments.

  • Dan T

what people forget about what really hurt alias is after the typical postgame, the nfl had a postgame performance from i think bon jovi before alias. that delayed the start time and caused millions to tune out. elementary has no concert before it so less bleeding.

  • PixieLavender

Does anyone know if Craig Ferguson beat Jimmy Fallon when he had his Superbowl show?

  • BigBrotherFan

    That’s really REALLY bad.
What a failure of a show.

  • Fake Me Out

I blame any low ratings on the F-bomb … obviously people heard a word and went into spasms, partially recovered and immediately sat down at their typewriters to fire off a strongly worded letter to their elected representatives thus missing Elementary … it’s the only logical conclusion to make.

Oh my lord, you obviously can’t tell the difference between a good and bad shows. Are you one of those bitter fans of TBBT or POI who wanted them behind the SuperBowl, but it doesn’t make sense as they are clearly already doing well, why put a high rated show behind the Super Bowl when it’s already doing well enough! I first was frustrated that 2 Broke Girls wasn’t behind the SB, but I got over it!

  • Dan

    Its still getting renewed

  • Jared

I really like Elementary..do I think it’s a breakout hit?..not necessarily but CBS wouldn’t put this series behind the Super Bowl and not renew it for a second season.

  • Brock

It’s still a very well received show in CBS’s line up.

  • John

It’s definitely getting renewed, but CBS has to be disappointed at how the show has underperformed. They were expecting a breakout hit and Elementary has been anything but.

too bad for Craig Ferguson. His show got bumped real late for those station that took the show live. some stations (I know Minneapolis did) aired other stuff (like their Sunday Sports show) after the local news and so Ferguson didnt air until well after midnight
