   It had nothing to do with your post, I was just pointing out why the shows skew old.

   I got these ratings from the Marc Berman site where a user posts all the 18-34 and 25-54 ratings for every show, broadcast and cable. He’s been doing it since December. It’s quite clear that “young” people avoid procedural crime like a plague. And TNT too.

   They’d rather watch all these realities stuff. Just to show you how out of touch broadcast scripted dramas are from young people. Unsurprisingly when you actually watch them.

   Damn. SyFy is really doing bad. And I mean really bad!

   I don’t see his they can survive without any shows that are even close to getting descent numbers.

   I really thought that Continuum would be doing well by now. I guess I am wrong.

   Oh no Dallas!!!!!! And it’s even better now than season 1. I’m sure it’ll be back for season 3 though

   I think neilsen needs some new families. I know a lot of people that watch Continuum and Being Human.

   @the post by “SyFy”, don’t worry, this is pure speculation but I imagine that Continuum is telling a long-term storyline about the political awakening of the main character (the cop from 2077) as she lives in the present day and realizes how nice freedom is, while also trying to stop the villains from murdering in the name of freedom. (I am just speculating here, unlike some others I have NOT seen the rest of S1 which has already aired in Canada.) In other words, one major theme of the show is: How do you prevent a resistance movement of freedom fighters from descending into a murderous mob? This has happened many times throughout history when fighting oppressive governments. There’s a very interesting article about Venezuela in a recent issue of the New Yorker magazine, about how murderous prisoners, gangs, and ex-cons play a terrifying large role in psuedo-socialism of the Chavez government.

   Unfortunately I don’t think Continuum is doing anything really interesting with this theme so far but I hear it gets a lot better as it goes along. I hope so. As an acquired series it’s probably pretty cheap so I imagine Syfy will continue to carry it, and if not then maybe the Science Channel or AXS or BBCA or someone else will pick it up and run it day-and-date with the Canadian broadcast.

   The UK premier of Season 2 of Dallas was viewed by 800,000 viewers, a fraction of the nearly 3 million people who watched its comeback after two decades away last year. 25% down on Channel 5′s slot average over the past three months. The launch episode of the first series, by contrast, was nearly 100% up on average.

   If “Monday Mornings” is canceled, Bill D’Elia will blame you Robert, because you posted the first episode ratings and therefore encouraged people not to watch again.

   In my country Dallas was taken off the air after 2 episodes. They then moved it to a tiny sub-channel. So much for international success.

   TNT sucks.

    Ouch for Bunheads. Just reaching that 0.4, and could potentially reach under a million viewers next week.

    People can say all they want about Dallas, but the show has definitely been a success internationally.

    Ic, thanks. I do know reality is all the rage with the younger crowd, but I’m also not one to make assumptions on a shows audience without any data to back it up.

    Switched at Birth will be around for a while at ABC Family.

    So long Bunheads. Can’t say I’m gonna miss you. Now maybe the network can put a more enjoyable program in that slot.

    Bunheads clearly never caught on with viewers. The actors have clearly done a great job, especially Sutton Foster. However, while the subject matter somewhat limits audience interest, it’s the writing that hasn’t risen to a level that would sustain an audience. There are a lot of relatively mundane subplots in the show that distract from the main plot. Although there have recently been some remarkable scenes between Foster and her fictional (and real life) brother, these almost seem like afterthoughts because they have occurred at the end of the show. I wish things had gone better for Bunheads, but the show simply hasn’t delivered.

    ABC Family no longer including Bunheads in it’s press releases is probably a clear indicator the show is canned. I wonder how long until they announce it. They still haven’t announced their pilot pickups yet.

    I wonder if the DVR and On Demand ratings are taking into account, because I know people who watch Dallas (and I am in the middle of that younger demo) they say they can’t watch live, because they’re watching other stuff (i.e. WWE, Switched at Birth, Pawn Stars), Monday there’s just more competition. And Dallas is getting better and better.

    Does it make difference that Dallas does better in the the target 25-54? Last week it pulled a 1 I think does anyone have source for this week.

    i’m glad sab is doing well.

    i stopped watching bunheads. the plot moves way too slow for me. and that guy that sasha is dating needs to get rid of that hideous eyeliner.

    If I was Falling Skies, Rizzoli and Isles and Major Crimes I would be thinking at this point I am looking good for renewals for another season. Those are horrible numbers even for teh older skeweing TNT. (Monday Mornings WOW) not real great for Dallas either but better then those Monday Morning ratings.
