Nashville and Chicago Fire have faced off in a Battle of the Wednesday at 10PM Bubble Shows all season, with no clear victor emerging. That may because for the past couple months, the two shows have rarely aired original episodes on the same night. On January 9, Chicago Fire scored a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating to Nashville's 2.1. With ABC getting rather more eyeballs than NBC last night (to put it mildly), I favour Nashville to get a bit of a boost tonight and edge out CF by a tick, 1.9 to 1.8.
They haven’t been bubble shows in a long time. They’re both coming back next season.
I like both shows, but feel with all the promotion Nashville has gotten, it should have much higher ratings consistently anyways.
I’m a huge fan of Nashville and it’s my favorite new show, but Chicago Fire is gonna beat it.

I don’t understand how anyone likes Nashville. I thought it was going to be about the music industry there. But from the pilot it became clear that it was just a soap set in Nashville.

First of all to the rambling people comparing Nashville to some musical or the horrific GLEE you clearly haven’t seen the show.
They belt out a tune here and there but they sure aren’t having lines when sing as if they are in conversation mode like the god awful glee or a Disney film.
They sing the 1 song or two a week because two characters are major country stars. Two other characters are song writers, one guitar player and an up and coming singer(Jackson). It also deals with politics in the family and powers booth or Eric close don’t starting dishing out tunes.
Please don’t ever put Glee and Nashville in the same sentence again. Fluff vs worthwhile stuff!
