This is hilarious. They couldn’t do this fast enough. :D

For every hourlong show that falls on ABC, another inexplicably rises. Revenge tumbles – Scandal (which barely got renewed ahead of GCB!) starts getting 90% retention out of Grey’s out of nowhere. DWTS in free fall – The Batchelor overtakes it.

The problem is that there’s no such luck comedy-wise. Unless you count The Neighbors not getting the NBC numbers many people seem to think it deserves…

Well done ABC. This is good news for BoP. If this special is able to get number close to those fro last night, Body of Proof will actually have a shot at winning its timeslot and performing decent enough for ABC. Also, this means it will only air three times out of Happy Endings (I love both but what a horrible horrible combination), and the first of which is actually the second part of the season premiere. So, it should hit a series low in these episodes, but it will have plenty of time to rebound afterwards following Dancing. Also, considering the failure of Smash and Vegas, it couldn’t have asked for a better timeslot competition wise.

Does this mean only 6 episodes of Happy Endings now or will they just put dumbass reality show ‘specials’ on the other weeks it was meant to air too?

  • Mari

YAY I think BoP has a chance now!

  • Samunto

No brainer here! And i like how fast ABC went with this after seeing last night’s ratings. This will even be a bigger boost to BoP than DWTS had to offer last fall.

The question is, how will ABC manage to move DWTS to Tuesdays and away from The Voice and still manage a 2 night-rotation. Tuesdays 9-11 are weak and a No. player after CBS is yet to be established.

    Good call ABC.

Bachelor is the only reality show i watch! Its a fun show

  • Nick

YES!!!!! Now Body of Proof actually has a chance. ABC seems to be going to big lengths to make sure BOP has a good chance of survival. Now, if only they would start promoting it outside of Castle, I’d be ecstatic.

When ABC recruits an authentic, genuine bachelor who is sincere, wholesome (not fake like Jake)people will be more interested in following his journey in finding love. He is not false in his evaluations and gives everyone the benefit of the doubt in search for the most appropriate person for his wife. This exemplifies ‘Reality’ than all the sham on some of the previous shows.

@Bachelor follower. Well said. I like it.
