February 7, 2013 (Burbank, CA) ? OH SIT!, The CW’s amped-up, fast-paced version of musical chairs, will return for a second season Monday, April 15, 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET. The Carrie Diaries will conclude its 13-episode first season the previous week, Monday, April 8, 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET.

OH SIT! is a fun, high-stakes, high-octane musical chairs competition, in which 12 thrill-seeking daredevils race head-to-head through five physically demanding, chair-splitting obstacle course-style eliminations as they each compete to claim a chair – all to the sounds of a new live house band. At the end of the hour, only one contestant will be left sitting triumphant to seize the cash prize and the title of OH SIT! champion. This season, the show will feature new obstacles and bridges, water rounds, mechanical rounds and slick zones.

And to get your sitting muscles in shape in time for the premiere, now fans can download the OH SIT! free game app on iTunes for iOS phones and tablets. In the OH SIT! game, you’ll dance, jump, bounce and battle your way up five tiers of the 3D OH SIT! tower, through obstacles including platforms, springs, spikes and cannons – it's King of the Mountain and Musical Chairs rolled into one. Collect virtual money as you race up the face of a daunting tower in a challenging, competitive, hilarious race to claim your chair at the top.

OH SIT! is hosted by Jamie Kennedy (“The Ghost Whisperer”) and actress/television host Jessi Cruickshank (“MTV Live”). Adding to the fun, Tanika Ray (“Extra”) will be in the trenches with the contestants both on and off the track, and will add color commentary from the sidelines as the action unfolds.

OH SIT! is created and executive produced by Phil Gurin (“The Singing Bee,” “Shark Tank,” “The Weakest Link”), Richard Joel and Deena Dill. The series is from The Gurin Company and 405 Productions in association with Warner Horizon Television.

    “Oh Great!”

I’m not surprised this has sneaked into the main season after it did better in its summer run than some of the scripted shows.

  • Juudke

Does this mean there is no chance of more episodes for Carrie Diaries? Or will it be renewed for a new 13 episodes next season?

  • Ultima

    @Juudke
Does this mean there is no chance of more episodes for Carrie Diaries?

There will only be 13 episodes this season; however, there’s still a reasonable chance that it will be renewed for next season.

  • Dave

I’m glad The Carrie Diaries will air its 13 episodes without interruption. So much for The CW ordering more episodes ;)

Oh Sit leading into 90210 will for sure butcher it :D

I guess Cult reruns will be the only show airing reruns on Fridays.

  • Dave

I think The Carrie Diaries will be be the new Life Unexpected in terms of another Season. It will conclude in April but a renewal won’t be announced until May.

  • Jenny

Wow, is this like the first reality show aside from ANTM to get another season on The CW? It looks like utter trash, but The CW finally made a sem-stride. lmao

  • r0ckmypants

Curious to see how this will do in the regular season… watch it out-rate all the bubble shows and REALLY throw fans into a tizzy.

  • ddddddddddd

LOL. OH Sh*t. I would have personally preferred The LA Complex than this crap.

A game about musical chairs. Really..

Beauty and the Geek aired two seasons on the CW (after airing two on the WB).

  • Brandy

They shouldve put this on Fri after Nikita where they need something besides reruns and given CD a few more episodes as its ratings have been rising the last couple weeks and id much rather watch CD than this aeful show.Pedowitz did say he wanted a few shows with cable length seasons_GG,Cult, CD. OhSit I doubt will do ok even in the regular season as theres much more competition and better rated reality shows on_Bachelor,Idol,Voice,Dancing.I wont be watching OH Stupid but at least ill get to watch another of my Mon. shows live now.

  • Brandy

I hope this isnt a bad sign for CD future

  • Oliver

I doubt it means anything for TCD.

My guess is that it was a choice between Monday and Tuesday (since Wed/Thurs do well) and they thought it was better fit with 90210 than Cult.

  • Jared

Ratings aside, I believe the CW will renew TCD for a second season because clearly they believe in this show and feel it has potential to grow. My only question would be for how many episodes. I do think the CW should try and do 13 episode seasons of some of there current series and possibly the new pilots they have for next season. That model seems to be working pretty well for ABCFamily.

  • Dan

Makes sense, no reason for CW to go with reruns after CD finishes up

  • david

Good idea to try this in the season time. It iwll have alot more competition though with the Voice at the smae time and other shows too. But it might rate better than repeats so that might be good.

  • THE OLD MAN

Wouldn’t it be wild if O Sit scored a 1.5 & does better than all the other CW shows!

  • Mark Wood

It would be odd as the best it did during a regular season was a .3 or .4 (as a few episodes did air this fall.
