via press release:

REVENGE FOR REAL”

Limited Series Airs Sundays, February 10 and 17 on ABC

From the ultimate betrayal to a domestic violence nightmare, real life tales of bitterness, obsession and revenge are told through the words and actions of the people actually involved, in “Revenge for Real,” a limited series airing Sundays February 10 and 17 on ABC.

Sunday, February 10 – “The Miami Millionaire” (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET):

They say revenge is a dish best served cold. But in Miami back in the 1990s, there was another kind of revenge: it was hot, violent an inspired by envy. Self-made millionaire Marc Schiller was betrayed by his own protégé, Jorge Delgado. Delgado and two accomplices kidnapped him and tortured him for four weeks until he signed over all of his assets to them. Schiller, unconscious, was then put in a car, which was set on fire. Delgado wanted payback because Schiller had cut him off. There was just one little problem with their perfect scheme -- Schiller wasn’t dead, in this crime so compelling, it will soon be a major Hollywood movie starring Mark Wahlberg.

Sunday, February 17 – “Rocky Mountain Retribution” (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET):

Christopher and Amara Wells had been married for 12 years and already had a daughter when their marriage began to crumble. Christopher had a history of domestic violence, and by the summer of 2010, Amara had had enough and moved out of their home to live in a basement belonging to the only people with whom she felt safe – Tammy and Bob Rafferty. What made that arrangement unusual is that Tammy Rafferty was Christopher’s sister. Wanting revenge, Christopher hired a hit man to kill his estranged wife. Not only did the hit man, dressed as a ninja assassin, kill Amara, he also killed his brother-in-law, Bob Rafferty. He would have killed Tammy too, but she was away on a business trip. Wells’ own daughter, who was six at the time, witnessed the murders and escaped to a neighbor’s house in the middle of the night. Even though the suspect was eventually caught and pleaded guilty, the survivors still fear for their lives.

Revenge for Real” is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format with a 5.1 channel surround sound.

  • Dude

    Isn’t that when Revenge was suppose to come back? So they’ve bumped it an additional two weeks? ABC is really awful at scheduling.

  • tjw

    This is going to air after Revenge. Makes sense since nothing else is working in that slot.

  • Ron

    at what time¡? i think revenge gets back on the 10… maybe after it¡?

  • Dan

    @Dude – Revenge will return at 9pm with new eps the 10th and 17th, these specials will be in the 10pm hour which previously aired 666 Park Avenue, Happy Endings/Apartment 23, and a Shark Tank repeat.

    Red Widow will premiere with 2 hour on March 3, so these specials aren’t a bad filler.

  • KT

    All this tells me is ABC must literally have NOTHING else to fill that 10PM time slot.

    Just what me need, more garbage reality TV.

  • KT

    *Should say what WE need, not me.

    We really need an edit option.

  • Dan

    @KT – What else would ABC air in that slot of two weeks? Its just a filler until Red Widow. They could have easily put a Shark Tank repeat there or something else but its February sweeps.

  • Ultima

    @KT
    Just what me need, more garbage reality TV.

    True crime stories are now “garbage reality TV”? :roll:

  • Jorge

    Why don’t they just bring back 666 Park Avenue and burn off the episodes now? Might as well, they’ll probably get the same ratings as the Revenge for Real ANYWAY.

  • Fred

    This made sense last season when Revenge was a hot comomdity. But a waste of air time this season. ABC needs to get serious if they want to get out of 4th place.

  • Ultima

    @Fred
    But a waste of air time this season.

    What should they put on instead?

  • Ricky K

    I think if ABC had it to do all over again (pre-Sunday comedy experiment), they would let 666 play out like they did PAN AM a year ago.

  • rob60990

    It’s for 2 weeks and will probably hold Revenge’s audience better than any episode of 666 Park Avenue.

  • Dan

    @Ricky K – The difference was Pan AM wasn’t officially cancelled and it played out like Last Resort did. 666 has 4 eps left for a summer burn off but ABC would have rather aired HE/A23 or specials in the slot as a bridge until Red Widow. I agree ABC probably would have let 666 play out of they could re do it but they needed to burn off the comedies somewhere.

    @Jorge – Too late for that now, ABC should have burned the eps in season on saturdays but now we have to wait until summer.

  • BigBrotherFan

    Another idiot move by the ever-so smart people running ABC. Honestly would 666 park ave. burn off would of done worse?

  • aiden

    revenge is going against the grammys ? why

  • mark

    2 more weeks without MAXi Pad’s Monday diatribe? Yay for me!!!

  • THE OLD MAN

    Double ep’s of HE? NOT!!

  • SJ

    @Fred

    Are you implying that Revenge isn’t hot commodity anymore? Nonsense.

  • The Ultima Opinions

    Ultima, it says: “ABC is bringing back its reality series Revenge For Real for two weeks to fill the Sunday 10PM timeslot.” So, yes, it is “garbage reality tv”…
