CBS public relations has been working overtime this week…I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many press releases about daytime programming from one network in the span of one week.

A press releases about Y&R and B&B. Then another press release about Y&R’s 40th anniversary. A press release about hitting a ratings record for “The Talk”. And finally a press release about the 50th anniversary of “Let’s Make a Deal”.

The only CBS Daytime series NOT to get a press release this week was “The Price is Right”. I wonder if Drew Carey and company are feeling left out?

My only comment on “Days” is that I would like to reach through the TV and
strangle Will…he is too trusting and soooo naive. Literally, everyone around him is warning him of what is about to happen, but like the proverbial ostrich, he has his head stuck in the sand…or someplace else ;-)

It looks like the viewers will get a little glimpse into Nick’s past in prison this week, which may explain his odd behavior towards Will and/or Sonny (including using the phrase “gay boy” repeatedly). Personally, I’m not a fan of what the producers seem to be doing to the character of Nick and hope that he is quickly shuffled off the canvas, preferably for good. I would have liked it much better if Gabi had slept with Chad and was trying to pass her child off as his instead of the Gabi/Nick/Will storyline that we have right now. Are we really supposed to believe that Gabi pined after Chad for such a long time and that now she is magically over him? At least having Gabi “stalking” him gave Chad something to do…he really seems useless at the moment.

I am so happy to see DAYS doing much better in ratings overall, and 18-49!
