Last night's Suburgatory gave our very own Cancellation Bear a primetime shout out.
Tessa Altman (Jane Levy) had taken over her high school's internal TV show (renamed Tessa Talk). Sadly for her, and the show, the ratings plunged after the change. Arriving in Mr. Wolfe's (Rex Lee) office, he informs her that “The cancellation bear wants to see you…in his den.” and that the ratings of her show have fallen to the point where it's being canceled.
Mr. Wolfe then shows her a page with the "Cancellation Index" and a graphic of the Cancellation Bear & Tessa.
Where will the bear turn up next?

Even before the shout out, Suburgatory was in no danger of being caught by the bear. Now, it's unthinkable!
Better to Follow The Bear, Than Be Chased By Him. This season you can follow the Cancellation Bear on Twitter via @TheCancelBear. The Cancellation Bear will retweet all the Renew/Cancel Index post titles and links as well as engage in a little more back and forth banter than we do on our standard @TVbytheNumbers Twitter feed.

Awesome!
Hopefully a show people actually watch. lol
I saw that last night and thought I was hallucinating. I wonder how CB likes being famous.

“Where will the bear turn up next?”
My bet is on Community. Haha.
haha such an amazing moment! Definitely cements Suburgatory as my fave ABC sitcom.
That’s AMAZING! Good work Cancellation Bear. But the question is, can the bear be bought? Will Suburgatory now get a free pass for the next five season?
“Once you’ve lost Chef Alan, you’ve lost America!”
@ Bill Gorman and Robert Seidman and all the people at tvbythenumbers
You are famous, appearing on prime time television shows.
Tonight on they mentioned the Cancellation Bear on “ Suburgatory “ on ABC, Original Airdate: 2/06/2013; they even had a picture of a Cancellation Bear. They used this to cancel Tessa’s Teen talk or body talk show.
tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com has become national big deal

Congrats Messrs. Gorman and Seidman! The Cancellation Bear has made it to Primetime. This evening on Suburgatory, the Bear was poised to devour “Teen Talk” starring Tessa Altman. Evidently, only fans of the CW were tuning into the show.

Yes! The Cancellation Bear making a cameo on Suburgatory! I was all, “Aaaaa! I get that reference!”
It’s a big deal for someone as old as me to out-’get a reference’ over someone

Yes, and I am so out of it that I had to run over here to see if anyone else picked up on the Cancellation Bear reference.
The bear breaks into pop culture!
ahah awesome! the bear now will owe suburgatory another chance when it eventually needs one ahah
lol Love thats awesome
LMAO, I immediately thought of this site when I watched that last night! Glad you posted about it.
Hahaha!!
Gratz guys!! Cancellation Bear on primetime!!! <3 He and you deserve it!
Here’s my question: will the Cancellation Bear pretend it doesn’t see ‘Suburgatory’ when it does get caught?
Note to failing TV shows: The Bear does not respond to flattery. It only worked for Suburgatory because it’s way far away from the bear. The Bear is not as friendly with shows he’s salivating over.
first kathy bates and now suburgatory? the Cancellation Bear is getting very popular!
The bear guarantees 10 seasons for Suburgatory
Congrats to the entire TVBTN team…
