'Suburgatory' Gives Our Cancellation Bear A Primetime Shout Out

Last night's Suburgatory gave our very own Cancellation Bear a primetime shout out.

Tessa Altman (Jane Levy) had taken over her high school's internal TV show (renamed Tessa Talk). Sadly for her, and the show, the ratings plunged after the change.  Arriving in Mr. Wolfe's (Rex Lee) office, he informs her that “The cancellation bear wants to see you…in his den.” and that the ratings of her show have fallen to the point where it's being canceled.

Mr. Wolfe then shows her  a page with the "Cancellation Index" and a graphic of the Cancellation Bear & Tessa.

Where will the bear turn up next?

Even before the shout out, Suburgatory was in no danger of being caught by the bear. Now, it's unthinkable!

Better to Follow The Bear, Than Be Chased By Him. This season you can follow the Cancellation Bear on Twitter via @TheCancelBear. The Cancellation Bear will retweet all the Renew/Cancel Index post titles and links as well as engage in a little more back and forth banter than we do on our standard @TVbytheNumbers Twitter feed.

    Congrats! :)

I laughed out loud when they did that and I thought how great for you folks. It is a fun and slightly odd show and one I hope the bear never snacks on.

We need a Cancellation Bear store for T-shirts, mugs, and other necessities!

I agree, I especially would like a T Shirt and would buy couple if they were available

@ Honey B Great idea. I’d love to send a couple of those T Shirts to Bill D’Elia. He was the executive producer of Harry’s Law and the guy who claimed the Cancellation Bear killed his show.

Surburgatory is hilarious and I love Dalia.
    No way this gets canceled.

    Congrats Bill & Robert.

You have both worked hard day in and day out posting great articles and the cancel index is always spot on.

  • Ray

    Congratulations, guys.

And apparently someone cares about the 14-18 demo.
