Suburgatory is a horrible lead-in for Nashville, which is really heating up now. Even Scarlett isn’t as irritating now that she’s stopped constantly whining at/about Avery. Unfortunately I think the show was too slow to really hit its stride, but I hope ABC give it a second season and a chance to really build an audience.

I don’t know why many people think The CW will break its best duo just to premiere a new Show after Arrow.
Supernatural is an eight-year-old Show which is still getting a 1.0 on The CW and Arrow has the same demo during its first Season. I think it’ll a disaster for both if CW moves one. We don’t really know if Arrow helps Supernatural or if Supernatural helps Arrow.
The Vampire Diaries is already used to premiere new Shows on Thursday. The CW will use HoD on Tuesday and TCD (or Beauty and the Beast) on Monday next season.

    Great for Supernatural!

  • Laina

Yay for SPN!! I was it would adjust up after seeing the half hours yesterday.

Arrow? is melting like snow in the sun! Arrow bad spetacolo with a mediocre actor, Stephen Amell does not have the charm and charisma of a hero.

Is the fall of Modern Family due to Idol?
I don’t really see a big common ground between the two shows…

I just looked at The Voice ratings and everyone was cheerleading when The Voice was getting 3’s and now that American Idol gets a 4.6 everyone is writing their obituary. You guys are sick!!!!!

  • Sally

Just bummed about Nashville’s ratings. Guess I’m one of the few, who likes the show…

I’d like to fanwank CM’s numbers are dropping because of their shark-jumping episode, “Zugzwang”.

I know it’s probably not true, but here’s hoping. It’d be the only way to wipe the smiles off the writers who tweet about what an awesome decision they made and how they hope the audience is happy with it. I think this is the only time I’d accept a Bobby-in-the-shower type retcon.

Every season, when a new episode has been aired after a rerun the previous week, usually some tenths of a point are lost, as CBS nearly never bothers to air ads to give the usual CM viewers a heads up.

And about “Zugzwang”: we got Maeve to begin with because she was going to die. Matthew wouldn’t have approved any other outcome for a Reid’s love interest, he wanted the drama and heartbreak for his character. The only thing the writers did was paint a magnificent parallel with Hotch’s own drama, where the differences and similarities between both tales highlight the differences and similarities between both characters.

    Not often MF adjusts down!

Interesting call to have MF at 8 in comments. Only problem is that overall viewing is down in the 8/7c hour compared to the next one, so it’s harder for ABC to get big numbers out of MF. Not that this seems to stop TBBT on Thursday (or indeed Idol on either night).

@Sally … You’re one of the few that watches live, the Live + 7 Day numbers are much better with 10 million viewers! So, the show has a good-size fan base.

“You’re one of the few that watches live”

DVRs are still in fewer than half of US homes (47%).

AWESOME as Dean would say, great for SPN, my favorite TV series.

  • Sarasota Slim

It is amazing what pablum passes for entertainment these days. SPN has so jumped the shark that the shark is dead and fossilized.

@Sally, I love Nashville also. I too am disappointed at the ratings and just hope it holds on enough and gets a second season.

  • Miranda

    I luv Whitney

  • charmedcraft

very happy for spn, i should’ve checked the final numbers yesterday :)

  • Thorn

ok a 1.2 for Whitney, why has NBC not put her down like she did the monkey from Animal Practice.

    @Sarasota Slim
There’s this amazing little button on your remote. It changes the channel. Use it and you never have to watch SPN again. And we don’t have to listen to you complain about it, either.
