Good Morning. Not the best way to start a Sunday , but, as a member of a Tea Party I was subjected to a plethora of smears by the media.

    —————–

I’m hearing Nothing about Leftists cranks. Media says zip about their politics.

FBI Arrests Taliban Sympathizer Who Wanted To Bomb Oakland Bank And Frame “Right-Wing” Groups To Start A “Civil War”…-

    - – - –

Man Who Attacked Conservative Group Identified Target On Left-Wing “Hate Map”

    - – - –
Floyd Lee Corkins, a gunman incensed by anti-gay marriage bias after reading articles by the liberal advocacy group Southern Poverty Law Center, took a firearm into the Family Research Council’s headquarters with the intention of killing “as many as possible.” He hoped to smash Chick-fil-A sandwiches in the faces of as many corpses as he could.

Suspected Mass-Murderer’s Manifesto Endorses Hillary, Obama …

    – Chris Dorner, the former police officer suspected of being behind the … has apparently left behind a manifesto addressed to America

Chris Dorner, the mass murdering fugitive wanted in California, is motivated by racism. But, you won’t read that in the media reports. Dorner wrote a crazy manifesto where he focuses on racism and discusses his admiration for liberal politicians and reporters.

    ———————

The Tea Party first got the blame for the Aurora, Colorado, shooter James Holmes attacked moviegoers this summer implied ABC News reporter Brian Ross after finding someone with the same name that was a member. That incident forced ABC’s President Ben Sherwood to issue an apology.
In February, 2010, when the deranged Joseph Stack flew his Piper Cub into the headquarters of the Internal Revenue Service in Austin, Texas, few in the elite media waited for the dust to settle before blaming conservatism. “The First Tea Party Terrorist?” asked New York Times columnist Robert Wright.

Even though Wright had Stack’s online manifesto in hand – one in which he praises M@rxist communism.

  • Letmethink

@dd agree–it is sickening and sadly many buy into it. I have been to many, many TEA Party rallies etc and have never seen anything violent or racist. But if you listen to the news media only, you would believe the worst. I just got back from a 2nd amendment rally in Austin. There were at least 12 police/ state patrol there. I want to think they were there to protect us in case some far left nut tried to infiltrate and cause problems. The rally went off smoothly and was very inspirational. Sometimes with the media and the uninformed voters in the majority, one almost wants to give up, but rallies such as this keeps me going. There were many young people there as well as hispanics. That is encouraging.

  • AppleStinx

Life for the Tea Parties would have been much tougher without talk radio and the likes of Hannity on FNC. The past election probably would have been much more lopsided in Obama’s favor without them. To those who think that CNN can be fair: when elections near, CNN puts social issues heavily in their programming (they go to foreign countries for such issues if they can’t find them happening in the US, e.g. back alley termination in Dominican Republic). I have more contempt for CNN than for MSNBC. MSNBC is what it is. CNN is a snake.

By the way, I think today is Chinese New Year’s day. It should be the year of the lawyer, I mean snake. “Snake Charm” (Ottmar Liebert) above was about the day, not about Hillbilly.
Like my superstitious Chinese friends say: 888 (prosperity prosperity prosperity) to all.

  • d.d.

    Apple,

You are right about CNN but I’m willing to give it another change to see if they wash the stink of Soledad O’Brien , Roland Martin,Fareed Zakaria, & , other extreme partisans , from their broadcasts.

Disagree with you on Hannity on Fox ,though , for he is just as partisan & I’d like to see him go.

Stalled Out on Tesla’s Electric Highway
    NYT’s
    What fun, no? Well, no.
If this is Tesla’s vision of long-distance travel in America’s future, I thought, and the solution to what the company calls the “road trip problem,” it needs some work.
Lots of problems along the way including no heat….
After 80 minutes of charging in Milford, the battery registered an estimated 216 miles of range. The trip to the Tesla dealership in Manhattan was an uneventful 71 miles. When I pulled in, the battery had an estimated 124 miles remaining.

I trust that the next driver savored those miles — and dressed warmly, just in case.

How would you like to be stuck in some town 80 minutes waiting for your car to recharge , especially an expensive one ?

Another tidbit emerging on Obamacare…. first private companies , now:
    - -

Now States Cutting Employee Hours to Avoid Obamacare Costs

Cut in hours are also hitting the government, and public employees as well. Virginia, for example, is about to limit part-time employees to 29 hours per week in order to avoid triggering Obamacare’s requirement to provide healthcare to 30 & + hours.

Elsewhere, public institutions are taking similar steps to limit part-time work. In Ohio, Youngstown State University recently announced a 29-hour-per-week part-time limit, and placed employees on notice that they would be fired if they worked more than the maximum. Other public universities are doing the same across the nation, just as their private-sector counterparts are limiting part-time hours to avoid the Obamacare rule.

In addition to limiting part-time hours, many institutions–public and private–are moving employees from full-time to part-time status to avoid Obamacare requirements. Doing so means facing the ire of left-wing institutions such as John Podesta’s Think Progress, which recently castigated a Wendy’s franchise for cutting employees’ hours.

Rather than dealing with the problem of uninsured part-time workers separately, the legislation overhauls the nation’s entire health insurance system–a system in which 85 percent of Americans were covered, and 80-90 percent were happy with their insurance.

Not a big fan of Shep Smith, last week he was pushing audience to make Monday after Super Bowl a national holiday “call the White House let President Obama know” said Smith,JUST WHAT AMERICA NEEDS ANOTHER PAID HOLIDAY.Several years ago while interviewing someone his guest made a mistake and called him “Shemp” he was offended!Thinking to myself he should call you “Curly”.

  • Bobbyv

    DD/Apple,

As I mentioned the other day it frustrates the heck out of me how some are obsessed with any bias at Fox but have never said word one about the bias in the rest of the media. I guess people want diversity and fairness only if it benefits them.

  • AppleStinx

    @Bobbyv

From what I’ve seen, lefties aren’t much into criticizing their own side while righties often go for “both sides are guilty”. We can’t help playing nice, and guess which side ends up looking the worst on paper? Yes, I’ll probably bash O’Reilly again when he resumes advocating for a federal sales tax.
