Bucking the trend of recent NBC sitcom ratings meltdowns, Community rose to a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating in its season premiere last night.
That's up from both last season's finale (1.3) and last season's September, 2011 premiere (1.7).

Bucking the trend of recent NBC sitcom ratings meltdowns, Community rose to a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating in its season premiere last night.
That's up from both last season's finale (1.3) and last season's September, 2011 premiere (1.7).
I’m really happy about Community. Even if it slides down to 1.5 for the remainder of the season, it is still performing better than the comedies on Tuesday. Community is up against The Big Bang Theory and American Idol. It is a self starter, unlike The New Normal. If NBC wants to keep one new comedy from this season it would be Go On. The New Normal should be cancelled along with 1600 Penn.
I can see NBC doing something like this next year:
Comedies should not air after The Voice on Tuesday, so that would create a 2 hour comedy block on Wednesday

8pm Betty White’s Off Their Rockers/Community(16 episodes)

Unfortunately I don’t feel NBC will give Community a full season order but hopefully it gets enough to reach 100 episodes
