They should try out Guys With Kids on Thursday after The Office.

When 1600 returns they should move it to 8 and Community to 930

  • Rebecca

That’s a weird episode description/title for The Office – Andy already returned from his boat trip, in LAST night’s episode.

1600 Penn is a disaster. Losing half of it’s lead in on episode five tells you something. It’s not getting better or building interest. If they need to get rid of it during sweeps, then they need to get rid of it period. I’ve rarely seen such self satisfied creators and writers, even after they have a hit, let alone a pure flop. Let’s all check twitter to see how they spin it and read the posts from 16 year olds who love it and tweet how annoyed they are that they have to go to class and watch the rest of the episodes online afterwards. The whole show is a joke but not a funny one.

1600 Penn will return February 21 and hopefully air all 13 episodes, then it will be axed. The Office only has a few episodes left and NBC will be saving them for April-May. They cant have new hour long Offices until then. NBC may as well air all of 1600 Penn.

@DK you sound like one angry person . I agree with Greg , Oliver Ram 510 as to the possibilities for the show 1600 Penn. It is a show that is pure and simple a good old fashion family show that put in the proper time slot and day will reach the audience it is intended for.

  • Pearl Clutcher

    @bruce hahahahahaha!

  • iggy

1600 Penn should be burned off Fridays at 8pm-9.

  • THE OLD MAN

NBC is having a busy week

  • Fake Me Out

Well the monkey finally gets one right, good monkey, have a banana … wait … who ok’d this show in the first place? Damn monkey!

They can run office repeats at 9:30p.

1600 Penn isn’t doing much better than the now departed DNH. Seriously NBC is sinking fast & needs to schedule shows like Crossbones, Dracula & Hannibal ASAP. Kill UAN already along with 1600, Smash & Deception. Bring back Grimm & Revolution before they sink below the CW.

  • Oliver

Office repeats would likely do worse than 1600 Penn originals (although, admittedly, it’s pretty close).

  • Brian

1600 Penn to Wednesdays after sweeps. Move Go On to Thursdays after the Office. Premiere Save Me on Tuesdays after The Voice

  • KevinY

I love 1600 Penn I really can’t believe how bad it’s doing. Josh Gad is hysterical. Martha MacIsaac is adorable and sexy and funny.

My early prediction for NBC comedy next fall:

    Tuesday
    9 pm Parks and Recreation
    9:30 Girlfriend in a Coma

    Thursday

    8 pm Go On
    8:30 Whitney
    9 pm MJF
    9:30 Brenda Forever

  • Dan

@DK – They could always do that, airing Office repeats but they may as well just burn through 1600 Penn or air all of Save Me.

  • Nick

    @iggy

1600 Penn should be burned off Fridays at 8pm-9.

Fashion Star is already scheduled to air there March–May, and there’s no way they’d do a burnoff during February sweeps, so if 1600 Penn is burned off, it won’t be there. It’ll probably be Wednesday or Saturday. Maybe Sunday if that new reality gets pulled, which is unlikely.

  • Patrick Ausgewahlt

My God, that’s saddening. I really like this show and my Parents and Grandparents absolutely adore it. Probably it’s problem since we’re all out of the key demo

  • Rebecca

Martha MacIsaac, if she’s the actress who plays Becca, looks so much like the actress who plays middle daughter Mandy on Last Man Standing – if 1600 Penn gets canceled she could play a Baxter cousin.

  • Weston

So is the office going on hiatus at some point? Isn’t this the 2nd hour long episode in 3 weeks?

  • Economics 305

Can someone explain “sweeps” to me. why is it so important for it to air/not air during sweeps??
