Sam,also BatB is only doing fine cause this season and last ,0.7 is good, 0.5_0.6 ok/middling on the network, but considering its leadin, its not doing fine at all and should be doing 0.8_0.9 mimnumum.
Funny how some of the posters that complain here about B&tB dropping in ratings due to being preemted are those that bashed Arrow last week when it dropped in ratings due to being preempted. Tough luck.
As for TVD, last week was one of the best episodes of the season imo, and I’m surprised it dropped, but I hope it goes back up soon.

Such a disappointment about Elementary. CBS must be kicking themselves. A 2.2 is probably good enough for renewal, though I have a feeling it might be shipped to Friday’s next season to replace the aging CSI: NY (or takeover for The Good Wife on Sunday if that gets a quiet thirteen episode final season order).
FOX has been very lucky with Glee that it hasn’t fallen even further. How the mighty have fallen…

That’s a special kind of delusional there! Are you saying there’s a Nielsen/Scandal conspiracy that it’s stealing other ABC show’s ratings, or that it’s somehow sucking the life out of it’s fellow ABC shows? Either way….special!

Contrary to what you may believe, there is no mind control device embedded in the Nielsen boxes that forces said families to watch Scandal over Elementary. It’s called personal taste.
Come on guys….Elementary is CBS baby. They waste super bowl slot and air so many promos for that show they will continue this say. No doubt about that.
That’s the downside of being a network favorite. It’s great at first, but if you don’t perform you’re sent out into the cold. If Elementary wasn’t on Thursdays, hadn’t been so hyped, and hadn’t gotten the SB slot but it was pulling 2.2′s on another night, it would probably engender goodwill at CBS as a show that’s not a big hit but a stable performer, and could go into a second season with potential room for growth. But now that the network has given it every high profile assist it can to grow and it’s failed each time, they will be much quicker to write it off. What are they going to do for it in a second season? Put it in a better timeslot? They don’t have a better timeslot then where it is right now. I can’t see CBS leaving it on Thursdays just so they can watch it getting creamed by Scandal again next season.
Networks have no loyalties. There are 10 new drama pilots CBS will have to choose from next year to make their new favorite.

@Brandy If TVD is the best lead in, why was Nikita a toss-up in its first season when it was being lead in by TVD and why was TSC canceled last season after having the “best lead in on the network”?
Clearly TVD isn’t the “best lead in”, there’s no history of that ever being a factual fact, so I wish people would stop pretending that it is.
