    I usually agree with you because your opinions are soo good and smart, but no this time. I mean look at CBS history – The good wife. Clearly underperform and many other shows were better in these years but this was CBS baby its CBS show and stay at 9 on SUnday and yes abc shows beat it every time. I think Elementary will be new TGW. Its will underperform buy CBS will stay it. And that unfairness is what turns people after some of these shows. I mean TM fans every sunday asking and TGW is out lead-in because……….is CBS show. ANd here is dirty part CBS will continue to order non CBS shows because they know that they can’t have enough quality only from their studio.

    @aciel

    You are delusional. End of story.

    @peter ivanov
    so im being delusional for stating my opinion. this is a free country i could say whatever i like. if u dont like my opinion then dont reply to me but my opinion still stands

    “If TVD is the best lead in, why was Nikita a toss-up in its first season when it was being lead in by TVD and why was TSC canceled last season after having the “best lead in on the network”? ”

    Best ratings of CW = best lead-in.

    Nobody said people watching Vampire Diaries are watching the show after. Vampire Diaries do not miracles and can’t transform a crappy show like TSC or BATB in a great show everybody watch.

  • Petar Ivanov

    @aciel

    Come on, man. Nobody stop you to comment. More comments the better. But how many more people should say it. Your comments are delusional. Read againg and you will see. No logic. Not at all.

  • Petar Ivanov

    @Lauren

    To be fair people has unrealistic expectation from hit shows lead-in. For example after all these years how many hit shows creat Idol and how many failed. The same with TBBT. So many sitcoms died after TBBT – best lead-in.

  • Grey

    I like that you put the exact start and stop times. It’ helps in understanding why something gets adjusted down or up. Thanks!

  • Amanda

    @Lauren

    So what if it has the best ratings if its viewers have no interest in watching anything that comes after it. Nikita and TSC were all praised by the critics at the beginning and yet having TVD as their “lead in” did nothing to make them big rating hits, so why would you expect more out of BATB which was bashed by critics at the beginning and is now winning them over as the series processes?

    Also honestly, you calling a series you are clearly not watching crappy is extremely odd, along with your obsession of responding to anyone who has anything remotely nice to say about the series!

  • Brandy

    Amada, highest rated show in demo equals best leadin.Nikita was tossup season one and SC cancelled were cancelled for getting only half of its audience.You cant make people stay and watch a show.Its like on abc, no show right after Modern Family can hold its audience,on cbs, 2.5 cant hold Big Bangs audience.Just because a show is the highest rated ,or one of the very highest rated, dosent mean people will or have to stsy tuned to the show on after it.

  • bluejays

    God CBS *really* need to move Elementary to a non week night and give HFO its slot or the Tuesday slot! They’ve got a great syndication deal for HFO and if they can move it away from football and to a night with a more compatible lead in, it would probably get the same sorts of numbers as CSI.

    Elementary has wasted that Superbowl slot completely. I thought it would get a one or two week bump (not much more) but to get a 2.2 the week following it? That’s dire. Move it and give HFO a mid week night to protect its lucrative syndication deal.

  • Amanda

    @Petar Ivanov

    EXACTLY! It’s so unrealistic and these BATB basher love bringing it up as to why the series should be doing amazing in the numbers.

  • DaxJackson

    Wish people will quit with 6 seasons and a movie… it’s never going to happen.. that was Harmon’s Community…

  • Amanda

    @Brandy Exactly, you can’t make people stay and watch a show…so why do you expect TVD being a lead in will do wonders for BATB numbers when it didn’t do it previously for other series which were praised by critics, unlike BATB until recently?

    When I watched Smallville back in the day every show that lead after it I never EVER watched! Why? Because after watching an episode I was online, on the forums discussing the episode!

    Same goes for TVD, it’s that type of series that gets its audience worked up that they get tunnel vision for the episode and could careless of what else is going on in the world.

  • Brandy

    Amanda, networks hope and to a certain expect a lot out of new shows put on after the highest rated shows and BatB was expected more because its more procedureal, episodic_ meaning veiewrs can jump in any time whereas a complaint about Nikita and SC were they were searilized, meaning a viewer had to see every episode to know what was going on and that long hiatuses hurt searlized shows like SC, .The CW is trying make hits out of BatB just like they tried with Nikita &,SC to make them hits.They hope that people who watch VD will watch BatB after but like happened with Nikita,SC and just like Modern Family,Big Bang, people dont always do that.

  • Lauren

    “you calling a series you are clearly not watching crappy is extremely odd”

    LMFAO! Please dear Amanda, you cleary don’t know what you are talking about.

  • Brian J

    So “Community” is where it was last year, or is it still down?

    Whatever the case, if it keeps this up, it might just get another season.

  • rob60990

    “Rob is hater in all pages. In cable shows page too. Not love for him i guess. Bad family, bad parents, no girlfriend etc.”

    Me trashing a few tv shows ratings means I had bad parents? You have a lot of nerve.

  • Kavyn

    @Brian Community is WAY up from last year. Season 3 premiered with a 1.7 and ended with a 1.3, meaning Community rose six tenths since it’s last episode. That’s pretty great, and right now it’s only behind The Office (which is ending) and Parks&Rec as top rated shows this week.

    That said Community will most likely drop these coming weeks, however if it can stay above a 1.5 it’ll still be one of the top comedies from NBC which means it has a good chance of renewal. It’s just a matter of what happens these next couple of weeks (since many probably tuned in to see what’s changed).

  • Fake Me Out

    Well I just finished my humble pie for desert … I was waaaay off on my guess for the return of Community but I’m going to stick with the 0.9 ~ 1.1 range for it’s long term ratings … till then, congrats on a much better than expected return.

  • Kavyn

    Behind P&R and The Office as top rated comedies* on NBC. It’s also behind the Biggest Loser.
