David E. Kelly's Monday Mornings premiered last Monday, but hardly anyone seemed to notice. While this list doesn't make predictions, it's never a good sign when you premiere to a 0.3 rating with adults 18-49 rating at 10pm when the 10am repeat of Supernatural drew a 0.4.
The BBC announced it was ending the British version (not to be confused with the U.S. adaptation airing on Syfy) of Being Human after the current (in the UK) six episode fifth season. The fifth season hasn't begun yet on BBC America, which is what's being tracked below.
Southland's fifth season premieres Wednesday, February 13 --I've updated its status below as if it had already premiered.
Notes:
- Kids shows and Adult Swim shows are not on the list below
- I've seen some squawking about shows on the list below that are owned/created by networks/studios outside of the United States. For purposes of this list, which focuses on U.S. cable networks, I'm only focused on where the shows air here in U.S.
- Shows from overseas like Downton Abbey & Sherlock that air on PBS in the U.S. are not in the list below (PBS is not a cable network), though ITV has renewed Downton Abbey for a 4th season in the UK which will ultimately air in the states.
- Despite some current inconsistencies in the table below, I do not intend to track episode orders or return dates specifically in this table at this time. The primary goal of the table is: what's been renewed, what's been canceled, and what shows fates haven't been decided yet.
Last Updated February 8, 2013
Most of the shows on the list have statuses - if there isn't a status that just means there has been no announcement at the time of the most recent update (see date at top of post and/or above the table below).

Cougar Town’s renewal should be announced soon. The ratings and demo’s are strong and surprisingly, super stable.
MTVs Underemployed hasn’t officially been cancelled??
@Jade: if it has, there’s been no official announcement from MTV, though that doesn’t mean much as their often isn’t.
That headline is likely to bring on the wrath of Bill D’Elia. You guys better take cover, or at least stay off Twitter for awhile.
My predictions-
Bunheads: Likely Cancellation
Lying Game, The: Likely Renewal
Switched At Birth: Certain Renewal
Americans, The: Likely Renewal
Anger Management: On the Bubble
Archer: Certain Renewal
Justified: Certain Renewal
Legit : Likely Cancellation
Being Human: Likely Renewal
Cougar Town: Certain Renewal
Dallas: Likely Renewal
Monday Mornings: Certain Cancellation
Happily Divorced: Likely Renewal
Hot In Cleveland: Certain Renewal
Monday Morning is DOA, sadly (awesome show). I know people are going to berate me about putting Anger Management on the bubble, but I don’t think its ratings justify more episodes after the 90-ep order.
That’s too bad about Monday Mornings. We were, apparently, one of the very few households watching it and thought it was really, really good.
I managed to watch a whole 6 minutes of the first ep of Monday Mornings. Garbage.
That headline is likely to bring on the wrath of Bill D’Elia. You guys better take cover, or at least stay off Twitter for awhile.
My guess is D’Elia has a better grasp on things now and without something wacky (say, a 0.3 A18-49 rating with 5 million viewers) he doesn’t have any basis real or imagined to complain. Though with D’Elia involved I will be interested to see if Bill Gorman can resist the urge to taunt him!

I would, if I cared about cable shows, or even could be completely confident it was dead, which is much harder for cable shows.

He can just tweet a “hello”, I guess. If @TheCancelBear isn’t intrinsically a taunt, I have no idea what is.
This is getting ridiculous, guys… Rewrite number three…
Banshee was great this week again. Despite an amazing number of bad guys in the town, they added five or six motorcycle riders this week! Attempted assault on his ex-girl friend, shootings, new bad guys burn out the hot deputy’s house (Trieste Kelly Dunn is pretty hot in this one, out of uniform – or even in uniform)…while the sheriff, the bar tender and his hacker buddy plan to rob the armored truck carrying the Indian casino receipts…
I went back and downloaded episode one which I’d missed. Five minutes out of the joint and the guy is laying some waitress in the rear of her cafe…then gets into a car chase with thugs…
Awesome show.
OK, that’s four tries to evade the spam trap…
I give up.
Try this.
Banshee was good this week. Satisfied?
Gee…I guess the spam trap likes one sentence reviews…
Thanks for the rescue, guys, but this random spam trap stuff is really getting old. At least this time I remembered to save the post so I could rewrite it rather than rekey it – not that it helped.
You know, come to think of it, I think this thread HERE is the only place this occurs if I’m not mistaken. Maybe the length of the original thread post is making the spam trap go crazy?
Not that it matters, a whole lot anyways, but TVWise is reporting the final season(s) of Weeds & Drop Dead Diva as well as current seasons of Pretty Little Liars & Bob’s Burgers are not being picked up for broadcast in the UK. The report also states the 3rd seasons of Franklin & Bash and The Killing are on the bubble the UK broadcasters.
fyi & ymmv
Probably worth noting that Monday Morning’s premiered lower than TNT’s reality series ‘The Great Escape’ which was also canceled, said show was hitting between 0.3-0.7 during its run, but averaged like a 0.5 on TNT.
If a cheap(ish) reality show backed by The Amazing Race creators could still outrate Monday Morning’s and still be canceled by TNT for doing badly too. This show is pretty much DOA as people have mentioned.
I doubt this show will pick up additional Nielsen viewers either. Might want to give him condolences if you’re in the mood for doing so on twitter. The Cancelation Bear is running alongside this show with a smile on his face because it’s Bill D’Ellia.
@ Richard Steven Hack – I’ve had long posting, etc. NEVER a problem. Convinced that the “HACK” in your name triggers the spam filter or some alter. Consider dropping that.
I am really dumb. I was watching TNT about a month ago and I kept seeing advertisements for Monday Morning, but they never actually said that was the name of the show or what time it was going to be on. So, for whatever reason I just thought it was some medical show they were airing on monday mornings
