The Walking Dead returns tonight. In its fall season it became television's highest rated drama, the first time a cable series has outperformed all broadcast dramas. It does face some unusual competition tonight from The Grammys, which might impact its ratings. The season 3 fall premiere scored a huge 5.8 adults 18-49 rating. You make some really good points; I never knew that many people actually watched the Grammys! But that 4.2 was still a series high for TWD (at the time). I’m not saying it will hit highs again tonight, just that the Grammys didn’t really seem to effect it much last time around.
with no fleshy round globes on display tonight, there is no reason to bear the terrible music. the walking dead it is.

There’s not much buzz for the Grammy’s this year like it was last year for Adele & Whitney Houston. Taylor Swift may probably bring the star power for this years show, which is not much.

Im hoping for a series high again but i dont think it will happen maybe in this seasons finale it will as it did before but still i dont want my hopes to get high and get disappointed.
I’ll say 5.5 because of the Grammys. Otherwise it’d do 6.0 or better.
I say new high. Without whitney houston death grammys will be lower than last year.
I wish it would set a high, but I am predicting a 5.4. I dont know if the season finale will set records as it coincides with the season premiere of Game of Thrones.

I’m going 5.5-5.6, I’m hoping higher but I don’t want to jinx it. lol Besides, everything seems to be running on the lower than expected lately.

i say 6.6. hopefully it will beat the big bang theorys highest, that show is almost as bad as 2.5 men. and i dont even like walking dead that much, but i still want it to beat BBT

I love BOTH Downton and Walking Dead and still haven’t made up my mind which I’ll watch live tonight and which will be DVRd and watched afterwards. And I’m sure I’m not the only one who likes both.
The Grammys doen’t affect this show.
PLus last year was alittle higher with Whitney Death, so sudden.

5.0 in a cakewalk or better. But why take on the Grammys? Couldn’t wait a week?
This show is way too overrated it needs to start going down and declining, hopefully the Grammys affect it enough to start going down.
