    @d.d.

    Good morning

Let’s go back to hydrogen fuel cells. !!! (so say I)

I agree, but the reason they don’t? hydrogen would not produce enough profits because it would be the cheapest form of fuel ever. Cheapest to produce and would not wear any parts out thus very little repair cost.

As my daddy said, it’s all about the money son. Case in point, years ago a scientific group was close to the cold fusion method which would have produced electric currents for almost nothing, and BOOM, the big boys and the government said, STOP IT!

    Its all a con game.

  • d.d.

Morning , Letmethink & other gals, too

You’re right . Think back to Edison vs Nikolai Tesla. Tesla’s invention was almost free ,; Edison’s brought in profits for his power.

  • Coffee Steve

    @d.d.

Think back to Edison vs Nikolai Tesla.

The daughter and I just studied that story last week. If Edison had not ignored Tesla the electric age would have exploded alot sooner. Then again though Westinghouse would have never been born.

  • Ratboy

    Goood Morning All1

hey anybody wanna join me for a late dinner tonight, you know, around 9 pm EST?? I am free because I sure as hell wont be wathing the SOTU address. Tonight it will be the message of “divide and conquer”! he has to make it two years and hope like hell he can get the full majority back so he can set his legacy. The only way he figures that will happen is by him fracturing the R’s into little bits and pieces.
I want no part of it! Wont watch!

    Gas at $3.89 this morning!

  • Coffee Steve

*For those not knowing what in the heck d.d and I are talking about

Edison went woth DC current, Nikolai Tesla went with AC Current, Edison ignored Tesla and with support from Westinghouse formed another company away from Edison.

  • Coffee Steve

    PS:

Get the History Channels series “The Men Who Built America” the edisin story is one of them shown

    Outstanding series

  • Coffee Steve

    Just to finish the story

JP Morgan Chase bought out Westinghouse in time, Chase worked with Edison but when AC took over the market Chase dumped Edison and took overv Westinghouses stocks and became majority owner of AC current as well as DC

    :-)

  • Ratboy

Coffee Dude! I feel sorry for your daughter cuz your teaching style is pretty Booooooooooooring!

  • Letmethink

@ratboy–won’t be watching either–know what he will say—anything to distract from the lousy economy and his failure to do anything that would help.

  • Ratboy

    Well NOW I GET IT!!!!!
I now understand WHY Mark2 puts Stewart in the same catagory as OReily!! It is his serious coverage of the events! Geee I am sorry it took so long for me to catch on!!

‘Holy Quit!’ The Daily Show Predicts Romney, Perry And Rubio As Pope Successors

“How’s it going with that Popey changey thing?” Jon Stewart kicked off Monday night’s episode of The Daily Show with the biggest news story of the day: the surprise resignation of Pope Benedict XVI. Speculating on why the Pope decided to retire prematurely, Senior Vatican Correspondent Samantha Bee reported that he may have been getting “catfished” by God all along

The viewing of those series including History Channels “Ultimate Guide to The Presidents” are extra credit LOL

Also I’m taking her out today for valentines, she gets to eat a great lunch at AppleBee’s, then a movie and a 100 bucks to spend all on herself, and the sweet thing about it? She’ll do as she always does, she’ll buy something for mom and dad first then herself :-)

This Dad is very proud of the lady she is becoming (Pride just ozing from this old fart)

    Coffee Steve

The Edison, JP Morgan, Westinghouse, Tesla, story outstanding!

  • d.d.

    Rats,

Nikola Tesla invented the radio, not Marconi. Tesla also invented the electric generator, the electric motor, fluorescent lighting, alternating current (AC) and devised the technologies that generate and deliver our electrical power for our homes, schools and factories.

So why didn’t we ever learn about Tesla in school ?

  • Coffee Steve

Speaking of taking her out today, were about to hit the road, she gets a day off from school and we are going to enjoy the day together so see you guys later and have a fantastic day

    Peace & Grace to all

I like J P Morgan the best. Paid 300 to have someone fight for him in the Civil War. That’s the spirit!

  • Raz

The problem with Tesla is, everyone thinks they are a heavy metal band. But he was a pretty interesting guy, built a machine to talk to the dead.
