Due to the nature of live programming the ratings for CBS (Grammy Awards) are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings.

CBS was number one among adults 18-49 and with total viewers.

On CBS, The 2013 Grammy Awards earned a 10.0 10.1 (per updated fast nationals) from 8:00-11:30,  down more than four ratings points from last year's monster 14.1 adults 18-49 rating (which was fueled by a Whitney Houston memorial tribute) but matching the ceremony's best 18-49 rating since 2011. Earlier in the night, 60 Minutes earned a 1.9, up two tenths from its last original's 1.7 two weeks ago.

On FOX  The Cleveland Show scored a 1.3, up a tenth from its last original's 1.2 adults 18-49 rating. The Simpsons earned a 2.1, down two tenths from its last original's 2.3 adults 18-49 rating.. Bob's Burgers earned a 1.8, down two tenths from its last original's 2.0 adults 18-49 rating. Family Guy earned a 2.4, down half a ratings point  from its last original's 2.9. American Dad earned a 2.0, down two tenths from its last original's 2.2 adults 18-49 rating.

On ABC, Once Upon A Time returned from hiatus to a  series low 2.2 rating from its last original's season-low 2.4 adults 18-49 rating. Revenge earned a 1.4, also hitting a series low, down three tenths from its last original's 1.7 adults 18-49 rating. Revenge for Real premiered to a dismal 0.8 adults 18-49 rating. Earlier in the night, America's Funniest Home Videos earned a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating, up half a ratings point from its last original's 1.3 adults 18-49 rating

Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

If Revenge is doing this badly now imagine how horrible Red Widow will do after it. I don;t know which new midseason drama will do worse, Red Widow or Zero Hour.

  • Melissa

The fact that 8-year-old Desperate Housewives was able to manage a 1.8 against a Grammy’s show ~4 points higher is troubling for sophomore Revenge.

  • bluejays

Even with the Grammys and TWD that’s a horrible, dire night for ABC.

And those numbers for Revenge are truly bad. I’m not surprised. I was a big Revenge fan all last year and have finally lost any patience with it. I just don’t care anymore and have stopped watching. I’m clearly not alone.

However – sorry Max but I’m not turning to your beloved Scandal. I agree that it’s doing incredibly well ratings wise but I’ve not tried it out myself. As for Revenge. I’m done. Sadly. There’s less and less shows I’m watching these days.

  • William

The Grammy’s just didn’t thrill me this year, as a lot of my favorite performers didn’t perform, plus i was watching The Walking Dead & Shamless. Not surprised about Once Upon A time, think that show has run its course- it was good before they got placed in the modern world.

  • queenb231985

I think its a little bit of both…… Sure the Grammy’s and the premiere of Walking Dead played somewhat a factor in the ratings slump for Revenge and Once upon a time but not entirely. I watch Revenge but I find myself dvr it more so than watching it live. Its not as good as last year and unless they do something about it the ratings will continue to get worse.

People making the excuse about the low ratings for Revenge need to stop. Think about it even if the lower ratings were because of the walking dead and the grammy’s…. people still chose to watch those shows live over Revenge and not the other way around…..

  • Dillan

ABC is killing their shows with this ridiculous scheduling.

I don’t watch OUAT, but Revenge, compared to last season, has not been great. Having said that, it will still be renewed.

  • Petar Ivanov

@If Revenge is doing this badly now imagine how horrible Red Widow will do after it. I don;t know which new midseason drama will do worse, Red Widow or Zero Hour.

Who cares, they are both DOA.

  • Travis

Is there something to be said about ABC and the obvious fact that they knew something like this would happen to all of their shows last night? I think they care a lot about both OUAT and Revenge because they were two of their biggest hits last season, but throwing them under the bus like this is confusing.

  • Leo

    Goodbye Revenge!
    No one watches you.

  • TJ

You guys are all just upset because Max is right. Rock on Max!

  • Michael

People love watching award shows! Between the Grammy awards and BAFTA awards.

  • Shepherd

    No big surprises here.
Seems like a lot of people guessed the Grannys [sic] 10.0 right on the nose.

I expected OUAT and Revenge to get hit by the awards show a little. I also expected them to fall to low 2′s and 1′s respectively, but not quite so soon. I’m glad that they have fallen though. There is certainly a real chance that Revenge falls below 1.0 and OUAT falls below 2.0 come spring time, I can only hope they do.
Animation held up pretty well against the awards, so that’s good.

  • Gabe

ABC proves once again that it’s run by a bunch of morons. Way to go destroying so many of your hit shows. You forgot to air against superbowl, what gives?

  • Christian

The people responding to Max are the pathetic ones. Sheesh. Only a few regular posters here are sane and sound.

  • Blake

    All right you geniuses.

Stop bitching about ABC’s scheduling for 5 seconds and enlighten us – how would you schedule 22 episodes of REVENGE in a 35-week season. But, please – make realistic suggestions. Because all we’ve been hearing here so far has been crap.

    Go!!!

  • ars041

    @Max
you must be a low life that has nothing to live for than post crap on here about shows that you hate. Heck you talk so bad about Revenge that secretly it is probably your favorite show. Yes ratings were bad for revenge but that is only because of the grammy’s. the last new episode for revenge got a 2.2 which is pretty good. plus when the lead in is also down then it makes sense that revenge would also be down. Get a life Max

  • danny94

@ Max- When Scandal Goes up Againest the golden globes, The Grammys, TWD and major Football games then we’ll talk but until then you simply cannot fairly compare Revenge and Scandal.

  • Steve

Its like the perfect storm of terrible things happening for Revenge this second half of the season: Weaker writing, incredibly strong competition, and the horrible scheduling decisions of ABC.

They should have just left it Wed at 10pm. It was doing a heck of a lot better than Nashville is currently. Instead of having two struggling shows, they’d only have one if Nashville was the Sun 9pm show. Stupid stupid stupid

  • Gabe

Also Max is Robert/Bill. Simple as that. Open your eyes, people
