Really? #1? How can anyone sit through a full hour of her? Her voice gets on my last nerve just from hearing her promo. And a mature woman named Katie? Sounds like a high school cheerleader. Sorry, I just can’t stomach het. She’s no Oprah.

  • Mike

And I for one am glad of that. I like Oprah but she isn’t all that. Oprah was no Donahue.

Everyone doesn’t have to be like someone else. I enjoy Katie for who she is. And I like her show. And obviously many other people do to. None of the new talkers have even gotten close to her.

    Different strokes for different folks.

Mike don’t hate on Oprah she was the queen of talk and still is Katie’s is not number one in daytime talk and leave Donahue out of it you was probably not old enough to know anything about him most of all you can’t compare him to Oprah she’s a women compare him to Geraldo Rivera talk show if you even know who he is.

  • Mike

LaLa…Have you ever heard of liking who you like and allowing others to like who they like. I don’t tell you who to like and who not to like. I don’t care if Oprah was Queen of the freaking world I was not a fan and I don’t care what you think.

And Donahue and Geraldo were two totally different types of talk show folks. Donahue ruled daytime talk for years. He was #1 long before Oprah came around.

And sorry but I’ll compare whoever I want to whomever I want. Deal with it. do what you want to do and I’ll do what I want.

In my viewing area , large metropolitan, Katie and Wendy Williams have a hugh advantage over the other talkies. They are on multiple times per day. I believe Katie is on four times in a 24 hour period. Jeff Probst was on once at 2 am. There was NO possibility for Katie to fail. ABC gave her every advantage possible. including 2 years a pre-annuncements. And I think t ther are a number of talkies that beat Katie but the may not be the golden demos that networks want.
