   Since Lost Girl is a Canadian show that Syfy airs in the U.S., does it’s viewing numbers in the U.S. make a difference for renew/cancel?

   It all depends on the way you look at it, and there’s no real way of knowing how the production co. views the situation. Some people around here seem to think international sales do matter. If the show does well on Syfy, then they will continue to buy more seasons, which will in turn help the bottom line for the show as far as the production co. is concerned. However, people also seem to believe that Syfy pays next to nothing for the show, which would mean that their buying more seasons would have little effect on the bottom line. At the end of the day, it probably doesn’t hurt the shows chances at renewal if it does well on Syfy.

   Thanks for the info I just started watching Lost Girl this year (I watched the first two seasons on Netflix) and I need to get my Kenzi (Ksenia Solo) fix every week, now, LOL!

   Started watching Being Human (watched prior seasons on Netflix), too, but that’s at least showing up in the list.

   I hope both shows get renewed in the U.S.

   Yikes Bunheads. Whatever, the show is cancelled anyway. Hopefully The Fosters will have a better showing in that timeslot this summer. ABC Family desperately needs more hit shows. It can’t just be PLL and Switched.

   What Shepherd forgot to mention is that Lost Girl’s ratings in the US still affect whether Syfy chooses to purchase another season, or even air it. If a show from the Great White North gets utterly horrific ratings, it will be pulled and/or cancelled, like NBC did with Saving Hope this summer. You don’t need to worry, though. Lost Girl will definitely be back on Syfy if there’s another Canadian season. Continuum might too, just because it’s Syfy and their norm is terrible ratings.

   Just to confirm, everything Nick has said, is 100 percent in every imaginable way true. All we have to do from this point is hope Continuum continues to perform well in Canada to be picked up for a third season.

   You may notice that Continuum starts well, but drags a little, but picks up towards the end. Stick with it, it’s a great show.

   The Nielsen ratings simply do not do it justice at all. And why it rates lower than Ghost Hunters(A show that, after 193 episodes, hasn’t revealed a single ghost) is beyond me.

    Lost Girl – 0.3, 0.847 million viewers
    Continuum – 0.3, 1.028 million viewers
    Bunheads – 0.4, 0.967 million viewers
    Monday Mornings – 0.3, 1.222 million viewers

    I can’t figure out why Monday Mornings isn’t doing well. It’s the first doctor show I’ve liked. I just got done watching this week’s episode (I DVR the midnight repeat because I’ve already got Lost Girl and Castle recording at 10pm, and can only record two shows at a time), and I think the story arc with the 13-year-old girl was simply amazing.

    I hope TNT doesn’t pull the show. It’s really an awesome character-driven show.

    @Scifibookguy: I think it’s the chemistry between Bo and Kenzi that keeps “Lost Girl” going. Ksenia Solo can really dish out the snark. She’s great.

    I dunno if anything on SyFy Monday’s gets renewed…Continuium and Lost Girl must be cheap to air, and I will not lie…I love TV-MA Lost Girl…well, like it. Plan on buying the dvd’s one day. But Lost Girl did a…

    0.3 and 847,000 viewers according to Futuon Critic. Move it to another night…or I dunno if it gets renewed.

    anyone know how drag race is doing in the ratings as well as untucked? They seems to be packaging it now as an 1 1/2 show in its first airing.

    @agoodboy – You’re seriously annoying with this. Vanderpump Rules and RHOBH have the same rating as they did last week; they are not “skidding fast.” At 0.7, Vanderpump Rules is higher rated than Millionaire Matchmaker, Kathy and Shahs of Sunset, and it’s equal to Top Chef. In other words, the only shows doing better than it are RHOA and RHOBH.
