  • Max

Sorry REVENGERS – you ain’t getting adjusted up. :)

  • Kevin

Next week Revenge and Once will recover.
Don’t worry. Our time will come: we will laugh at Max :).

  • Ryan Schwartz

Next year, ABC will probably try to spice their Sunday lineup a bit with S.H.I.E.L.D. at 9 hoping for a hit, and slide REVENGE to 10pm. I can’t see them moving the latter back to Wednesdays, even if NASHVILLE gets the boot. ABC should also just consider shorter seasons of REVENGE, or just having one long hiatus in the winter and allowing it to run straight through up until its fall hiatus, and straight through May post-Oscars. I still love the show, but the scheduling is worse than ever. 2 weeks here, 3 weeks there… you can’t do that with such a serialized program. Less devoted viewers are tuning out, even if you credit this week’s ratings to Grammys. Even their last original episode garnered a 1.7.

  • Charmed

Damn, The Simpsons adjusted down :(

Shut up Max, I’m not even a Revenge fan but people like you annoy the hell out of me.

  • Kevin

    @ Ryan Schwartz

That 1.7 was against big competition. So no, the show can still recover.

  • gerry

thank goodness i wasn’t expecting an upward adjustment for revenge.

  • Ryan Schwartz

I’m not saying it can’t. Still, I’d be shocked to see it do anything better than a 2-2.1 in its last stretch of episodes this year. I’m not even worried (it’ll get renewed), but ABC needs to strategize a bit more about their Sunday night scheduling.

The Simpsons should end after season 25. It is just not as funny as it used to be. Awaiting the premiere of Amazing Race next week.

  • BigBrotherFan

I would understand if you watched the show but it does not even sound as if you tune into it.

Of course the ratings are going down, the shows quality HAS GONE OUT THE WINDOW and I’m a revenge fan. Aiden needs to go NOW! AND is that reporter still in the slammer hoping for EMILY to one day give him his big exclusive? I mean, c’mon! Do the creators actually believe we will just forget and go along with that?

If it’s FAUXamanda or one of the Ryan bros dead on the boat MAJOR COP OUT! I will of lost all faith in the show if that is the case. They said MAJOR character and based on SCREEN TIME this season THE WRITERS SHOULD LIVE UP to the likely OVERHYPED death..if they do it justice I will be one happy fan, and by major character it should be-

    Emily-That will never happen
    Victoria- See Emily

if it’s any of the below, just more of the writers screwing the fans again by killing off any of these characters below that (most) fans don’t give 2 craps about
    ..Ryan Brothers
..FAUXAMANADA (it was a mans HAND DAMMIT!)
    ..Charlotte (highly unlikely)
    ..Padma (see charlotte)

Lol @Max, how do you always manage to be the first person to comment on these posts???

Remember last year Revenge did the big switch on us. The whole time we though that Daniel was killed…. Anyway, one can only hope it’s Declan – horrible character who is completely out of place. Losing FauxManda would be a big blow to the series – not just because the ML kicks butt, but the character’s history with Emily and the fact that she is willing to get into people’s faces, rather than sneak around aka Emily. It’s a nice contrast.

  • Ryan Schwartz

You clearly are confused. There are three people on that boat: Jack, Fauxmanda, and Nate Ryan. Based on promos, Emily finds her way onto that boat as well, likely in some sort of rescue mission. Two people are all but confirmed to die. One of them is sure to be the most disposable, Nate. The other has to be tragic in Emily’s journey if the show wants to prove there are stakes. In that case, it’s Jack who dies. Would I prefer if it were Declan, Charlotte, or Ashley? Sure, but I get the need to kill Jack off this early in the series.

  • Mark

I could not stomach The Simpsons this week. I was out after 6 minutes.

  • BigBrotherFan

I agree with you 100%. Losing FAUXAmanada would be a major blow and huge cop out. I remember they turned it around last year with TYLER and thats when I started to develop negative feelings about some of the plots. Tyler was really a character nobody cared about.

Dude, I like Ashley and I know I’m apart of a very small minority there. They won’t kill off JACK I feel the writers have been screwing around with us too much they never have the balls to do it even though they likely should because the show needs something BIG FAST. Like, Scandal did with FITZ. FAUXamanda not good. Jack horrible choice. Aiden has been dragging season two down EXCELLENT CHOICE! Let’s wrap up this god awful plot once and for all. I can hold out hope that maybe SOMEHOW Aiden finds himself on the boat, too, can’t I? and takes his dumb plot with him. haha

Great! Family guy adjusted up :D The simpsons did like american dad… So this is how the animation domination does without football as a lead in.

Jeez, when will you people stop falling for “Max”?! He continues to post first, always does, thus proving he is one of the TVBTN staffers since that’s the only way he could be first ALL the time, with one of the staff just tagging on “his” comment as they upload the article. Bill Gorman has even said how much he loves the catfight, thus indicating his (or his staff’s) culpability. Wake up and smell the coffee! Ignoring Max is the best thing everyone can do here.

As for “REVENGE,” I agree that it is going off the rails. I have watched and enjoyed the show from Day 1, but it’s gotten so convuluted and difficult to follow at times that I have thought about tuning out myself. The subplot with the Initiative is confusing, albeit understandable to “soften” the evilness of the Graysons and humanize them a bit. The Ryan Brothers have been a totally unnecessary distraction, and it’s time to reveal the Amanda/Emily switcheroo to the rest of the cast. THAT would juice the storyline more than anything these contrived “twists” could do!!

As for Aiden, I think he’s a good match for Emily in terms of their scheming, though I liked her much better with Daniel and still don’t understand the abrupt end to their engagement. That was a HUGE writing mistake. Having Emily intertwined with the Graysons made for much more interesting “revenge” viewing. If the writers flush Aiden, then get Emily back with Daniel immediately. She BELONGS with Jack, but it doesn’t look like that is happening any time soon. A love triangle between Emily, Daniel and Jack would be far more interesting, but that can only happen if FAUXmanda is exposed, Aiden moves along, and the identity switch is revealed.

@ Kevin and Ryan…don’t be so sure “REVENGE” will recover in the ratings OR be renewed for next year. Neither may happen at this point! A 1.4 in the demo is cancellation territory for ABC, and saying the show has strong competition the last few airings is Fan Excuse Bingo. The sad fact is the show is dropping precipitously because of HORRIBLE scheduling by ABC and viewer erosion as a result of the plot problems I listed above. The series is only in its second season, and with it being serialized, there is little hope for a stripped syndication deal other than maybe the now-defunct SOAP Net. So, with profitless ratings, ABC would have no choice but to cancel “REVENGE” after this season unless it bounces back heavily in the ratings. So we all better hope, or it WILL be canceled next season :(

  • Barbie

    0.7 for Revenge??? OUCH!

  • http://tvbythenumbers.com Bill Gorman

“Wake up and smell the coffee! Ignoring Max is the best thing everyone can do here.”

Shockingly, amid your typical nonsense, there is reasonable advice!

  • senor chang

serious ouch for Revenge/Once. hopefully both bounce back a bit next week.

  • Lukes

@Barbie, not for Revenge, for Revenge for real.

I must admit that Max posting ALWAYS first is a pretty suspicious recurrence…
