How long until it’s reported that Netflix is negotiating to pick it up?

BBC America co-produced The Hour with BBC UK, so technically the series was cancelled by both entities.

This decision isn’t surprising. The S2 ratings fell quite a bit from S1 in the UK, while the US ratings, which were pretty low to begin with for S1, fell even lower for S2.

Sad, the show was really good and the cast, terrific.

Not surprising given the ratings. Sad, because it was a smart and sophisticated show. I guess audiences want more “Honey Boo Boo”.

Although this is to be expected given the ratings level, this was a superb series. Ben Whishaw gave a breakout performance, and the scripts were very engrossing. And a beautiful recreation of London at that time. Sad, but at least we had a dozen episodes to enjoy.

I’m so disappointed. It was a great show and it doesn’t deserve to end on such a gut-wrenching cliffhanger.

Ugh, this show was so amazing and well-acted, I adored all the cast members and characters. It needs some sort of closure, I hate it so much when they end a series on a cliff hanger without knowing if they are renewed or not (I think it’s sort of disrespectful).
