Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

And here come The Following haters.

  • s0303

@roswell…key word you used is “used to”…you seriously think a show getting 0.3 should be renewed over a show getting 0.6 because it used to get really good ratings???

  • Ateofi

Glad to see Castle go up. Bad night for entire CBS line up i think it’s the first time Mike and Molly hit demo below 3.0. Hopefully H50 will adjust up. It had good overall viewership but weak demo. Ouch for The following, it went down by 0.5 in demo.

  • Bernardo

The Following adjusted now. But well, 2.4 is very good for FOX, right? Love The Following..

  • MDM

I still enjoy the Following, it’s a solidly written show, but last night’s episode made me really miss Alcatraz which I still maintain was a better show. (Only bring it up because they’re in the same timeslot)

  • matt

Of course Deception “stabilizes”, still a goner. For sure going to get axed

  • Sean

Deception is NOT cancelled!!!! GO DECEPTION!!!

As Laura Petrie would say: “Oh, Rob!”

  • JacobYates

Just like beauty and the beast is this year’s secret circle, the following is this year’s Alcatraz.

The Following drop must be worrying. Dropping a half point week over week is not good. I think there’s an overemphasis on the three-person team that’s kidnapped the kid. I don’t find them that interesting.

Hawaii Five-O episode was very good, but apparently even Summer Glau’s excellent performance didn’t help.

90210 is a joke even compared to Nikita, which the Nikita haters love to do – which is the only reason I’m doing it. Otherwise it’s clear the show is done for. And since it’s already hit syndication numbers, only a Pedowitz preference for “clean send offs” will get it renewed.

The Carrie Diaries is going to die, that’s certain. Dropping to .6 in its first five episodes, really? That’s bad even for the CW.

  • ethan

wow@90210…CWs nits if they renew this…och for the following, but still well above fox’s scripted average methinks

  • steve

OUCH a massive drop for the following what’s wrong with america they watch rubbish like jersey shore bukwild etc but can’t watch great tv like the following

  • Cj morton

    Castle! :)

  • BG

I love The Following and Deception!!!

Poor 90210 :( I used to love this show, but I’ve begun to lose interest. It’s never a good sign, when you realize you’re 3-4 episodes behind, and you no longer care if you catch up.

  • A

    LOL @ 90210

Gossip Girl was getting better ratings last year which was also in its 5th season.

No Final Season for this flop!

  • Emma

Its too bad the ratings for Deception are so low. I’m enjoying it a lot and am glad that it seems like the rest of the episodes they have will air.

I really don’t get the bring show X back posts. Shows canceled years back aren’t coming back even if another fails.

  • BigBrotherFan

Me and my friends found the TRIO really interesting THE BEST PART OF THE SHOW until last night. Totally fell apart in their last scene.

  • RandyL

    The Flopowing (lol).

  • matt

@steve problem is more of people watching garbage like Bachelor and Biggest Loser

  • Holly

The drop for The Following isn’t good, but I think it’s too early to declare it dead or even dying.
