Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Not my kinda show, at all. Nope.

@I think FOX is much more likely to send BONES to Friday than the one few bright spots that came out of them this season (scripted).

Well i doubt that the following will survive on Monday next season. If is around 1s vs the voice will be dead on Monday. Best spot for it is friday. WIll survive longer with lower demo(like fringe)Bones and glee are other options guess one of both will be final season. Fox is in trouble with sure.

Sorry, meant to add: In terms of SOAPS the choice for me is NASHVILLE (best!) followed by SCANDAL and finally Revenge :)

As much as I expected the numbers for The Following to fall, I would hardly call it done. From the beginning I’ve felt that the numbers could mirror those of Alcatraz exactly, but because of the Bacon factor, it would still get the Touch treatment. At this point, I almost doubt that its possible for the numbers to fall low enough for it get canceled.

Nothing would give me more joy than to see GLEE shipped to Fridays to die for good but I sadly don’t see that happening. I think FOX is good sticking with RASMEY crap like HOTEL HELL AND KITCHEN NIGHTMARES. Cheap and does OKAY-ISH on Friday plus I think it’s time to flush away some of these RAMSEY programs cause they are showing age…NIGHTMARES specially.

I absolutely loved the pilot of The Following and thought I had found a new “must-watch” show. However, I already lost interest after the third episode. I can’t exactly say, though, why?! It’s not that it is bad per se …

Does Deception have a shot at another season?

  • Petar Ivanov

@I’m amazed nobody else tried to buy the show last summer when CBS didn’t commit to renewing it until very late. None of the other networks would turn down a sitcom that can get a low 2 with no lead-in – heck, that’d make it the #1 sitcom on NBC and the #2 on FOX and ABC these days. Rules could do that.

Its simle is not profitable enough. Big cast, expensive and aging show which only will dip from here. Why even nbc or fox will buy it? TBS buy CT but for syndication deal.

    Won’t watch The Following..falling in the predictable,monotony abyss… :-\

BigBrotherFan: The point is that “The Following” is supposed be about the following. So far we’ve seen a couple suicide types in episode one, the Poe mask guy and his wife, the fat nutcase who choked to death, and these three. They need more and more interesting serial killers than this lot.

These three are maybe more interesting than the others we’ve seen so far, due to their internal dynamic, but if the whole show turns out to be about catching them and retrieving the kid, I suspect The Following will drop precipitously. It just isn’t going to be enough to sustain the audience interest, especially with the gay aspect probably turning off some of the audience (it doesn’t affect me at all.)

The show has a decent pace. Shawn Ashmore has been great. Purefoy is great. In general, the acting has been fine. I’m not sure Hardy’s flashbacks are helping. One problem is the lack of any coherence to the villain’s “plan” so far. Hardy even made the point when he talked to Carroll – the “book” is lame so far.

They need to up the ante. The spooky scenes are nice, but there has to be more than “atmosphere” to the show.

It’s too soon to say The Following is like Alcatraz. Alcatraz just went absolutely no where and the crimes and criminals were much less interesting. But if it doesn’t demonstrate that it’s going somewhere soon, it may end up like Alcatraz.

I’ll be very angry if Fox does that to Bones.

  • Nicole

Go TCD! but where with 0.6?The CW Network continues to get hurt with these mediocre performances!

    @ BigBrotherFan

If Downton Abbey is a soap, it’s my #1 (reminds me of Upstairs, Downstairs, Dutchess of Duke St), TGW would be #2

My problem w/ Nashville is the 50+ gen behaves just as juvenille as the 20 somethings–do like it though

    @ petar Ivanov

I love the Following, but I am worried when The Voice comes back. How will it hold up? TBH, I was not expecting them to be a 2.4 this early.

I expect Bones to do the same when the Voice comes. Stay around a 2.0 to 2.2 I actually don’t mind Bones going to Friday’s. I think it will do well anywhere. Its crazy stable but what does Fox have on Monday’s that will be able to not sink against the Voice? They haven’t had much luck and we still don’t know what they following will do in March… Bones is old, but I stil feel like its a strong asset for Fox Monday’s

  • Petar Ivanov

The difference is that fox if send bones or glee will be to die on friday and the following to try to be like fringe on fridays may be with 4 seasons. I think the following can take fringe place. ANd fox want at least one scripted show for fridays so without fringe and touch DOA will be one of these. That is why the following is LOCK and will survive now matter how low will be against the voice.

No wonder H50 dropped horrible Summer Glau was in it.

  • Richard Steven Hack

Gerry: “TCD is growing out of .4 .5, so its showing gains (.7 last week and .6 this week) v. drops. i wouldn’t count it out just yet.”

I disagree. Unless it somehow manages to stabilize at least at .7, it’s not going to survive. FIVE EPISODES and it’s at .6-.7? Unless it grows to a .9-.1,0 and stays there, it’s doomed.

rob60990: “I was going to insult Hawaii 5-0?s ratings but after hearing she guest starred, I think fans suffered enough.”

The episode was one of their better ones, and Summer’s performance was just superb. And I’m not talking about the fight scene, although that was cool – a lot of it was stunt women; Summer isn’t doing much stage fighting these days and Serenity was ten years ago. Her emotional expressions were excellent, however. She really cries well compared to most actress’ “crocodile tears”. :-)

The whole bit about McGarrett’s mother, however, was just useless filler.

  • Petar Ivanov

I hate Summer Glau think she kill terminator. But is ok like actress. Well not emmy or oscar award level but not bad either.

  • Rebecca

Enjoyed HIMYM and Rules last night. About to stream Castle.

I finally got into Downton Abbey – caught up over the last couple weeks and am enjoying it. :D

  • Richard Steven Hack

John A: “No wonder H50 dropped horrible Summer Glau was in it.”

OK – you’re officially a troll, not to mention a moron. In fact, you give morons a bad name.

  • Richard Steven Hack

Petar Ivanov: “I hate Summer Glau think she kill terminator.”

No, the idiot producer Josh Friedman killed TSCC. Trust me, I was there! :-)
