I think we are closing in on where OUR loons get it from!!!!!
Clueless Chris Matthews on State of the Union: ‘There’s Nothing Lefty in Here; What’s the Left-Wing Part?’
What world does Chris Matthews live in? The MSNBC anchor on Wednesday saw nothing liberal in Barack Obama’s State of the Union. Talking to Chuck Todd, the Hardball anchor puzzled, “There’s nothing lefty in here. What’s the left-wing part? Objectively, was there a left wing piece to this speech last night? I mean, truly left? I didn’t see it.”
There was an interesting conversation on CNBC this morning between Jack Welch and Warren Buffet. They were talking about the Berkshire purchase of Heinz but Welch brought up the fact that the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) was a significant cost to business and a drag on jobs and the economy. He also said that he felt that an increase in the minimum wage would decrease employment.
The surprise was the Buffet agreed with him about the cost of healthcare and how it is affecting employment and the economy. He sort of agreed on the minimum wage but said that he has looked at this over his career and wasn’t sure how an increase in the minimum wage affected employment.

It’s Valentine’s Day!
I think I will make my doggies a special dinner, let them sit on the couch and eat, give em each a rawhide to chew, then go to the bedroom, curl up in a ball and scream and cry how lonely I am!
NOT!! I think I will call my ex-wife and thank her……………….for leaving!
(but the doggies will still get their special dinner!)
Ah. Yesterday, when you were talking to him, it was “I don’t want to talk theory, I want to talk facts,” and today (when confronted with facts) it’s “I don’t have time for facts, I’m too busy living my life!” Followed up, of course, by needlessly petty speculation about his personal life. Time for another hiatus from this place’s nonsense.

@Coffee, Detroit is a mess. There is no reason for those people to live that way. There is tons of help for them. It’s just that they would rather use the money the government give them for drugs or other things.
@Moncon, My high school had a independent living class. It covered budgeting, check writing, interviewing for jobs, doing laundry, cooking, sewing and many other things. Anyone had to take it. Sadly my call drop the class in 2004 because of additional state class requirements.
The school district I live in now announced yesterday that they would be adding a hour to their school day next year. The reason is to be make more students ready for college. They already teach foreign language and Algebra in the middle school (6-8). But now they are adding more Algebra classes, offering geometry and offering a second year of French, Spanish and German.
They are adding three new AP classes in the high school. But the biggest reason for the change is the school is going to make students retake any math, science or English class that they get a “C” or lower in.

to people without valentines.
@ Cathy
From what I can tell in talking to people, pretty much all of the “common sense” education is no longer available. Cooking, sewing, wood shop, metal shop, home and life classes (how to balance a checkbook, do a budget, etc).
In fact gym class is not everyday anymore and in some cases a “treat” for the students.
So now we will have college ready kids that cant balance a checkbook or sew on a button much less boil and egg because most of the parents dont have or wont give the time to teach them. My mother made sure I could cook, do laundry, iron, sew, etc and my dad made sure I know which end of the hammer to use at a very young age. I say again………..
WE ARE SOOOOOOOOOO SCREWED!
Number Of Times MSNBC Replayed Rubio Water Sip: 155…
Obsess much, MSNBC?
CNN (34x)is even suggesting it’s a “career ender?”
The country is in severe crisis and the media is focusing on water bottles.
And, they wonder why they have no credibility?
Let’s add whoever sits through all these counts to the dingy list.

Here ! Here ! The US should do this.
Tax avoiders ‘banned’ from bidding on U.K. government contracts
The U.K. government says that major companies that do not pay the full amount of corporation tax will be banned from bidding on public-sector contracts, potentially harming the likes of Google, Microsoft, Amazon and IBM, among others.
@Matthew, I said “I want to talk facts not theories” to REDBARSOUP. Not Mark2 because REDBARSOUP never post links.
Yep, Mark2 posted a link from a leftie site. When I quickly checked CBS I could only find that they had given Bush a 35%. I don’t have time to check every site to verify his leftie numbers. In the past when I asked Mark2 to give me a link to a non-liberal site to confirm numbers he refused. That’s way I want where I went.
I spent yesterday, working at the VA, with truly disabled vets. I’m not guessing about Mark2, he has said that he is a retired disabled vet living off of government entitlement programs. He talks about how smart he is and all the research he does. He talks about going on vacations. I’ve worked with the VFW and there are a lot of jobs for the disable vets who has a sound mind. I do assume he wasn’t a vet, yes a theory on my part.
@Matthew, There is a big different between what I said and what you read. I said, I don’t have time to look for every site that supports my view.
The news that our “wildly popular,” recently re-elected president lost 11% of his State of the Union audience over last year, hardly made a ripple in the media. “Entertainment Weekly,” though, saw it as its job to craft an excuse of a headline that its very own story didn’t support.
Cathy , you are aggressive today. Keep it up. It is fun to call them out.
@You do more attacking then anyone on this site. Remember how upset you got two weeks ago when I started to count the attacking? Liberals were leading 12 to 3.
>>> I don’t remember EVER getting upset, nor you counting or keeping track of anything. Maybe you did, it was just not significant enough for me to remember. Sorry! Again Cathy, your arithmetic is off, or you have deeper issues, either way I do not believe for one millisecond that you are being honest. Nice try though!!
The attacking comes from both sides, far more from the conservative douces, than the left. It’s also obvious that you count facts as attacks.
That’s really not my problem lady.
BTW! I think there are a few more in here you can add, multiply, or what ever it is you do. Ciao!!
, America’s Federal Reserve has been flooding the markets with $85 billion per month in new “printed” money, and plans to continue doing so for a while.
This should go over like a fart in church!!!!!

not to mention that the Eurozone is taking another hit too. The problem is that this is festering rather than just blowing up! a festering sore is always more painful and takes longer to heal! Best advise…………….LOOK OUT!
@Matthew, I said “I want to talk facts not theories” to REDBARSOUP. Not Mark2 because REDBARSOUP never post links.
Yeah because I thought it was common sense he had the lowest ratings of any president. I guess it wasn’t, sad.
