Tonight is the premiere of Survivor: Caramoan:Fans vs. Favorites.  Last year's fall edition (Philippines) premiered to a 3.2 adults 18-49 rating, and the season finale also earned a 3.2. Previously, the 2012 spring edition (One World) premiered to a 3.1 adults 18-49 rating and the finale earned a 2.9. Will we see the same type of steadiness with this year's spring iteration? Survivor South Pacific premiered with a 3.4 and ended with a 3.0. Survivor One World premiered with a 3.1 rating. Even though South Pacific was a bad season, the following season’s premiere improved from the finale rating.

Philippines was clearly a much better season than South Pacific. Philippines premiere and finale had the same rating. If Philippines had turn out to be as bad as South Pacific, I would have predicted a 2.8 (3.1 – 0.4 + 0.1 = 2.8)
I believe the good will about Philippines will boost the ratings of Survivor Caramoan premiere to a 3.2.

    My prediction is 3.2.

But I would like to know who’s favorites these are?….because I only like 1 or 2 returning players. It should still be a good season! I’m excited!

I think it can pull around a 3.1 or 2 tonight. The 90 minute premiere + a bit of hype compared to last Spring’s One World should = decent ratings.
