Maddow is so up to date on the issues that she is running a story on how everyone in the Bush administration lied and we went to war with Iraq for no reason. I guess Tony Blair lied too. And it wasn’t good to get Saddam.

But hey no matter what side you come down on this issue, haven’t the liberals beat this horse to death yet?

Come on liberals stop trying to prove how great Obama is by trying to prove how bad Bush was.

  • Matthew

why is the leftist media focusing on Marco Rubio taking a sip of water?…

The focus on the sip in particular is unfortunate, given that the entire response was a flop; the same vague policy rhetoric that just failed to secure the election for Mitt Romney, delivered without an ounce of charisma. That, and when you take the sip as a whole with his appearance and body language, a politician hasn’t looked that uncomfortable on television since the Nixon-Kennedy debate. On the bright side, Rand Paul was able to make it all the way through his response without any hydration issues, thanks to Aqua Buddha.

Obama’s policies (all of them) continue to be approved by the majority of the American people while the right wing dominated GOP bludgeons itself with backward and erroneous philosophies that continue to lose them elections. The GOP refuses to extract itself from the 19th Century and thus is destined to become a dinosaur of American politics. Rubio’s vacuous rebuttal to Obama’s masterful State of the Union address was embarrassing to watch…Will the GOP ever learn??? Doubtful….

Has the Pres EVER done anything wrong? Steal some kid’s crayons maybe? :)

@Mike and Ed, Nightline had a program a one or two years ago where they did a DNA test on 20 inner city NY students (they were all 18) all called themselves African/American. The story was “would you look at yourself differently if your DNA says you aren’t who you think you are?”
Of the 20 students none had over 50% African and everyone had at least 10% European. The DNA tester said it’s normal and that many people we call white have 5 – 30% African.

  • betty

    @ Mike….are you Kidding?
Racism and CHARGES of Racism is the biggest problem in America.
and….Obama has made it so much worse.
    Hadn’t you noticed?

  • Matthew

And it wasn’t good to get Saddam.

Well, it was pretty swell for Iran. There was a near 0% chance of Saddam being able to enact any sort of substantial attack on the U.S.; Iran, on the other hand, had to act cautiously with an enemy in their backyard. Now, millions of Sunnis have been murdered or displaced, and Iran got to enjoy several years of funneling arms to Shia ‘rebels,’ using Iraq as a testing ground for the effectiveness of various IEDs vs. U.S. ground forces, and we got to pay $1 trillion for the privilege. Heckuva job, Bushy

Or smoked pot, drank heavily, you know the stuff he said in his own words and his own voice on his audio book

  • Cathy

@Matthew, Did you know that he has chronic dry mouth? He has had it for years. He did the Spanish version of the reply first. It was perfect. So, go ahead liberals keep attacking Marco on his reply. Because the Hispanics, listened to a great reply and aren’t going to be happy with you attacking him.

  • Matthew

Yes, keep telling yourself that the policies that 71% of Hispanic voters rejected are going to be suddenly embraced, if you just deliver them in Spanish; it’s not the substance, it’s the delivery! Y-yeah, that’s the ticket!

It is an outrage that Chuck Hagel is being blocked and Filibustered by his own darn party. Repubs. are delaying a Sec. of Defense and jeopardizing the safety of our country. I see that Repubs. are eating their own and I normally would not care, but this is a matter of safety and I don’t take kindly to it at all. The more they dither, the more at risk Americans are, so..How about an up or down vote? Either he’s in or out and oh? I’d rather have him in, as I have huge respect for him and think he will do an outstanding job. He will think twice b/fore he gets us into another unnecessary war and our young soldiers killed or maimed. Does Iraq ring a bell? 4 trill…$ we could have used in oh, so many good ways to enhance the lives of people right here in the US of A. BBL

I predicted this long time ago, the GOP has to get rid of that cancer in its body called the Tea Party. It looks like Rove and his GOP buddies will launch a war against the Tea Party.

The neo cons wanted a man who could walk on water!!!

They got a guy that couldn’t finish a rant of lies without lurching for a bottle of water.

    Further humiliating the GOP!

While holding up a Cabinet member is unusual, when Bush was President, Reid took virtually every opportunity to block his nominees, voting against cloture on 26 separate occasions. In his view there was no amount of time—“not a number in the universe”—that would be adequate for debate on the filibustered nominees. The Republicans did the same to Clinton. Democracy is messy. Leon Panetta is still acting as Defense Secretary & if Hagel satisfactorily answers the senators questions, he will probably be confirmed.

I’m carrying this over from the last room for a reason.

The U.S. supreme court has ruled that the federal government can’t collect gun for citizens.

    – –
I followed the Chicago case of the homeower who brought the suit against Chicago’s gun control that resulted in the right to possess firearms for self-defense. Key words are self defense . There is still a lot of gray in the aftermath of the Supreme Court decision.

Even Obama appointee , Sonia Sotomayor, calls Heller settled law with the DC case. Heller allows guns for self defense, too, but there are certain restrictions to gun ownership.

Nothing is really going to change in Missouri. Thankfully Republicans hold a super majority in their state legislature. The bill has only been introduced and read twice; it’s a go-nowhere bill .

    – –

Breaking : MN Democrats Introduce Law to Confiscate Guns… Using Same Language as MO Democrats

The difference here is Democrats control both the senate & the house & can make changes other than personal safety & hunting.

    Bill Gorman:

Since people are living longer, working longer, being more active and complileing more wealth in their later years has their been any thought on expanding the “key demographic bracket”. I only ask because it seems thier is a lot of banter about it on this site right or wrong.

d.d. brought up Bush!!!!!????…..will the righties pounce???

Doubt it…..they are not too bright!!

@d.d. I agree it was wrong then and it’s wrong now! However Bolton’s delays and blocking games were certainly called for….the man is a nut!!

This just in: CBO projects that medical costs have increased at the lowest levels in history under Obama inthe past 4 years as insuracne companies are seeing the writing on the wall and reducing costs as they stare Obamacare in the face. Medicare and Medicaid are projected by the CBO to be 15% under budget in 2020. Obama is having an impact. The GOP has been and continues to be comfortable with 100% increases in healthcare every 10 years. This has ended…
