Solid gains for both soaps. I can’t even remember the last time Y&R got a 1.5.

Great wee. My 2 soaps are doing amazing. Y&R has gotten so good. It has been ages since Y&R got a 1.5. The Young And The Restless is onfire now. The best soap on tv.

  • Derrick

    Bingo Robert!

  • Jennifer

Way to go Jill Farren Phelps! Y&R is sooooooo good these days.

That is good to see, but Y&R has got to get better. These writers have got to fix so many screw ups. Sharon and Adam have got to be fixed. I like them as actors, but I will never buy into this relationship. It is ridiculous. The history does not match up with the present. Glad for a few new faces, even though they are not very interesting. I am glad Neil is with a woman now that actually looks like someone that he would be with. Sofia was not cutting it. Fake Malcolm and her should have run off together. I think she is still on the show too. I do not get that. I hope they get rid of her. Chloe, Chelsea, Cane, Kevin, Gloria….what is the point of these characters. Chloe you could maybe keep around, but the rest, get rid of. They are boring and the writers past and present have never been able to write for them. Kevin at the beginning was good, as was Gloria for a while there, but come on. JFP has got to fix these specific things for me to totally enjoy the show again. There are several things putting me off. We will see what is going to happen.

Notice to CBS affiliates…your extra hour of news is not going to happen for awhile. The Bell soaps are alive and well.

With the new team in place (in its fifth month), I think Y and R is in pretty good shape going into its 40th!

Case in point…Tuesday’s episode was fantastic. Especially the last 30 minutes, which could be their Emmy submission reel for the year.

The transition from Paul on the rooftop to Nikki again playing the piano was such classic Y and R. It’s been a long time since I sat and watched in awe.

Paul laying into Summer was GREAT! And to see it register on her face proves we have the old Phyllis back again. She’s no longer screaming in every scene. You can see her emotion again.

There were so many well written moments…Billy going home just to be with his wife…Nikki and Victor on their couch…Summer and Fen “outside”…Abby visiting her Uncle…EVERYTHING clicked.

It’s was so nice to see the music (for once) fit into the show, and not be forced, and the show featured vet characters. It was like watching real people talk to each other dealing with life. Classic soap opera.

Y&R is getting really good lately.I am glad that the ratings are on the rise.the classic storylines are coming back and if we can just get rid of a few more storylines that are dragging , it’d be on track.time to send Kevin and chloe to Georgia to see Daniel and said bye bye.and hope I’m not the only one liking cane and chelsea.and think the niki being sick is going to bring great performances from MRS,EN and of course Jeanne cooper.glad to see the shows on the rise.

So glad for the shows. Y&R and B&B are putting up a good fight. Glad for both of them;.

It’s time for a new soap on one of the networks. With the big soap revival and General Hospital leading the pack in the soap resurgence, it’s definitely time. GH has grown over 1 million viewers this past year, and DAYS has rapidly grown these past few months, ditto to B&B and Y&R. 3 out of the 4 have received (or traded) new regimes, which have been a big help, especially for GH and Y&R. It’s time!

Definitely agree Y&R is back! I was floored by Michelle Stafford’s performance when she confronted Summer about bullying Jamie this past week. Truly hit home for me. So nice to see Melody Thomas Scott take on such a powerful storyline. Super excited to see the outcome!

My only gripes are Kevin, Chloe, Gloria (so much airtime and so BORING), and Sharon being back with Adam. There’s nothing compelling or interesting about these relationships. How many times must we watch Sharon and Adam going back and forth about being together. So painfully boring. I cannot believe they got rid of Jeff Branson and kept Kevin and Chloe around. While I appreciate JFP’s efforts to beef up Y&R with hot black men, it would have been nice if they cast someone who had some acting chops. Tyler is a total snooze and seems to be getting a ton of airtime.

    Nevertheless, Y&R is great again!

The storm of the century really spiced things up on Y&R. Hope they keep up the pace.
