   Where’s Kroll Show?

   Workaholics got a .8, Daily Show got a .7

   Is it possible that the half hour in between got below a .2?

   The Americans is certainly getting a ton of help from Live+3 DVR ratings, but I wonder what that does to advertising? If I’m an advertiser, you’re going to have a hard time convincing me to buy air time on a program that it would appear half the audience each week DVRs and skips right through the commercials.

   I am really enjoying the show and hope it can stay on the air, but if advertising dollars aren’t coming in because of fans’ proclivity to DVR it, then that may play a part in the decision to renew or cancel I’d think.

   Okay Full Throttle, I’ve accepted the 0.7 territory so not bad. lol I’m really shocked about Southland. I don’t watch it but from reading this site I thought it was a cable darling. Have their been some significant changes in the story line or something?

   They keep cutting the budget, which forces them to focus more on relationships and soapy drama as opposed to the gritty hard-core action the series became known for. I still watch (I haven’t watched last night’s episode yet though), but last season was hardly up to par. We’ll have to see if the drop was due to basketball, people not realizing it had returned, or simply because fans have lost interest.

   Heads up, buddy. People are gunna take you less seriously when you try to root for a failing show just to show that you dont like a successful one. Go back to dissing strong shows, not rooting for weak ones

   Married with children is on list, really great, I love that show, The Nanny is in top 100 always on wednesday, was it because Friends is on 11pm?

    How did USA renew unnecessary roughness for another season. The shows ratings are not good and even in the summer there not good.

    Sad day for Southland. TNT did a terrible job promoting it and I have no idea why they moved it to Wednesday. Tuesday at 10 was crowded as well but at least people are used to it being there. I know quite a number of people who didn’t even j ow it was on last night. I hope it can grow

    Here is the problem with the Americans (which I like). I think a lot of people tuned in for the premier for the appeal of a period piece set in the 1980′s but discovered it doesn’t really evoke that time period. As to why it has been said somewhere in an article that the producers didn’t want to get bogged down so to speak in period detail like MAD MEN and it was a choice not to play up the look and feel…I would say it backfired on them.

    SOUTHLAND has been a spiral quality wise since the cast was trimmed a couple seasons ago…you lost interesting characters like Chickie, all the other detectives, most of the family life aspect disapeared capped by the idiotic decision to put Sammy back in uniform-who in their right mind would take a step backwards like that? He became a totally different character.
    Props though for bringing back Emily Bergl…she was a lot of fun in season one and two.

    Not bad for The Americans – FX seems happy with the Live+3 data as they spun it the other day. Just a note — Southland at .4 makes Dallas TNT highest rated currently airing show

    Press releases are *always* happy, by design, or the press release writers are out of a job. Drawing any conclusions about how the network actually feels about the results based on press release contents is ridiculous.

    The only press release that signals they’re happy with The Americans results will be entitled “The Americans Renewed For Season Two”.

    The Americans is a terrific show. Why anyone would be gleeful about it potentially be cancelled is baffling. I hope it stays afloat and stabilizes because the storytelling and acting in it is masterful.

    The Americans really is wonderful, a well written and paced show. Not sure why the numbers are dropping, maybe because people in that timeslot on FX want something batsh*t insane like AHS. Anyways, if you root for it to fail it just shows how little a life you have.

    I see The Americans dropping further to a .5-.7 area. Probably not enough to renew it, which is a shame. Though it could easily grow year to year if they put it on netflix, etc. A shame, I like the show.
