I was hoping SPN would adjust up.
I have been saying for ages that yeah, while CSI is doing very good for its age (and even without taking that into account), it is not doing necessarily better than Hawaii Five-0, as it has both softer competition and a much more compatible lead-in. This sort of shows the point. I think Elementary is in even more troubles, although I doubt it will even air without POI. Although the 2.1 this week for Hawaii was not pretty, I think it is still a hair stronger than CSI, and that both are stronger than Elementary, although all three have the same raw numbers.
Middle
I hope it bounces back next week
Weird to see Survivor that low
I know it in my guts that Elementary is going to get a second season. I hope the show Following gets a second season because I really want to start watching it but it’s going to continue to fall a bit.
dying show right there
MF peaked in the ratings but dying? Yeah sure
Time for CSI to retire. Nice battle going on at 10pm!
Everybody bashing and/or worrying about MF and The Middle need to look at the trajectory of most sitcoms in recent years. Season four is a low-point, between when some people tire of the show and new viewers start watching due to syndication. That includes The Office and TBBT.
@ Laura, I enjoyed the first two episodes of the following the 3rd episode was kind of slow. Haven’t watched the 4th yet but based on the ratings it doesn’t look good.
Could it be tinkerbell’s kabbalah and scientology wand waning the ratings share?
I guess CSI is lead in dependent
Those wondering about the lower numbers for Survivor and CSI, they were preempted in Greensboro and Raleigh-Durham for UNC-Duke from the ACC Network (not sure why Raycom syndicated the game because it was available nationally on ESPN).
Good for Arrow and SPN!
Come on Guys ! CSI got so low ratings only because had no lead-in but a 1.9 is not a total disaster. Think about Elementary which is getting a 2.2 during its first Season (and it aired after the Super Bowl !).
It looks like spring numbers are here to stay!
While it’s big that CF tied for first, I think it’s even bigger that Nashville was only .1 behind.
In a week of down ratings, Arrow holding onto a 1.1 is impressive indeed! Very consistent numbers for the CW. I wonder if Arrow managed to beat NBC’s 8-9pm average, that would also be something
We’ll see how The Vampire Diaries does today!
@Robin
CSI is not in trouble after only 1 lower rating, don’t be drama queens.
And even if it was, they would not cancel it this season.
Loose a slot? Probably.
Cancelation? Unlikely.
Elementary might actually be the top 10pm show with H50 2.1 and CSI 1.9.
Lol, one bad episode for CSI and people calling for cancellation. Its been CBS best performer in the 10 pm slot this season, 100% renewal.
But the bad week for CBS continues. Lets see if tonight can turn that around
I just don’t want to invest in a new show on Fox unless it gets a second season. I was happy that the show Touch got a second season but it reminds me of 24! And stopped watching it.
Wow, last night was a bad night for broadcast TV. CSI and The Middle both below a 2.0, Whitney and Guys with Kids at lows, Idol down. Hopefully it will pick up.
@Laura: You’ll have to wait juuuuust a little bit longer. As I have said before, they are probably going to milk this cow until its average viewership drops back to its first-season average (12.7 million). We may have to wait until 2015 for that to happen (given its current rate of decline) and for them to consider retiring the show. FOX wants to stay within striking distance of CBS in total viewership, because without ‘Idol’, they’re toast.
