@Shepherd
“In a week of down ratings, Arrow holding onto a 1.1 is impressive indeed! Very consistent numbers for the CW. I wonder if Arrow managed to beat NBC’s 8-9pm average, that would also be something”
Arrow didn’t just hold on, it went up. Even more remarkable imo in today’s ratings. It’ll probably go down next week because of the basketball game that airs in the same time, but oh well..
I never said CSI was in any risk of cancellation, that would be ridiculous. I was just saying that it is not as beast as the raw numbers suggest, not that matters for renewal purposes.
Glad The Neighbors held a 1.7. When the show premiered almost everyone thought the show would completely flop. Now it will most likely get a second season and a cult following. Interesting.
CSI is doing fine. Without Criminal Minds being on, many people probably thought it was a repeat.
Whitney is a horrible,horrible show….everyone on the show acts like they want to be some place else.
The Middle skewed so old last night. 7.7 million but not even a 2 in the demo?
Wait if I talk bad about American Idol! I get a error message! WTF?

The show is flopping. ABC is just having a bad year.
I actually half expect NBC to early renew Parenthood and Chicago Fire next week. And Parks with Community the week after that.
If SVU doesn’t recover I see Grimm needing only 1.2 to get renewed on Fridays.
Maybe even get tested into a week slot.
CSI is down to a 2.0. Yikes. If it wasn’t for the fact that ALL of CBS’ 10pm shows are sickly, I’d worry for its cancellation.
@Mi
I was just referring to the preliminary numbers. I didn’t particularly expect it to adjust down, but it was a possibility considering the ratings climate this week.
IMO, if the CW is preempting for b-ball, then of course Arrow will be down next week; however if Arrow just has to compete with b-ball, I think it should do just fine. I don’t see the show’s audience being made up of a hoard of b-ball jocks.
Glad to see SPN and Arrow gain in viewers and demos
Good job to both shows…
@jake3988
You mean down to a 1.9, right?
Great job for Arrow and SPN this week for the CW.
I never categorized CSI to be very lead-in dependent and i don’t think one airing says it all but…. That Wednesday 10pm is a thing of it’s own.
We call Chicago Fire a hit because it’s usually got the lowest lead-in and still pulls numbers very similar to the competeting series with larger lead-ins. And it grows it’s audience often.
Oh and at this rate, am worried for the spring ratings for the networks (except TBBT). I bet we’ll be seeing series lows some really low for all series.
okay, then how about? If I say stopped watching American Idol in season five and began watching Criminal Minds again?
Meanwhile… I watched Top Chef and the new epi of Southland.
Arrow and SPN doing nicely for the CW!
Both certainly deserved their early renewals.
@Elijah
Vegas had a 1.9 not to long ago and yet people talk like CSI gets Big Bang Theory ratings
Clearly, you are severely misinterpreting every time someone says “CSI had strong rating” and the like. I don’t think anyone saying that thinks that CSI is doing like it has never aged. I think you are blinded by the fact that most of Vegas’ ratings all season have been below 1.9. CSI’s lowest, on the other hand, is 1.9. Vegas is still WAY lower rated and will get cancelled by May.
So happy, NBC finally finds its strong hits !! Revolution, Chicago Fire!!
They should focus more on dramas, not on Comedies!!
But….As a fan of GWK, sad to see its ratings..:/
Ouch for CSI and SVU!
