Scandal is a beast, and with those strong numbers, impressive, and that hater Rob0660 whatever the hell he calls himself, can go cry me a river, Scandal is up in the demos and total viewers, so go hate on Zero hour.
@rob60990
You are delusional. For a sophomore show to overtake is more powerful 9 year vet lead in is great news. If it wasn’t for adjustments, that would have stayed though the difference between is a2.8 and 2.7 is insignificant.
However, Scandal is far from on the decline considering that Grey dropped .3 and Scandal only did a .1 drop on adjustments. That is still its second highest rated demo and it still did better than all other 10pm shows and a knocked out god knows how many comedies that barely saw 2.0.
Either way, it is one of the far better rated dramas on air right now.
Just congratulate and sit back and wait for Revenges sad Sunday ratings.
@Sj
So you came out of your hole? No pun intended.
Either way, Scandal was a tick away from beating Grey and without adjustments, it would have done so. So it getting a 2.7 to Greys 2.8 is nothing to be proud of. This has proved that it is possible to overpower Grey and sooner or later, it will happen and stick. Grey came out with a 4.4 and Scandal a 2.1. Now, they are at 2.8 and 2.7, respectively.
@Tim
A 10pm show making a 3.0 is unlikely. Revolution was the last show I know of to do so but Scandal is the highest rated 10pm show of the new year. We will have to wait for Revolutions spring numbers but right now, Scandal is on top at 10pm. Most shows are lucky to leave the 2.0 or see a 2.2.
@Honey Badger
a 2.7 to a 2.3? Elementary won’t be seeing a 2.7 or any number near a 3.0 for a while now. Scandal has completely over taken the 10pm hour and Elementary is a show that will be fine in second place. It has been living in the 2.1-2.3 range for a while.
Community still is NBCs #3 comedy of the week and still probably has the second best season average…sort of sad.
Well at least community adjusted up XD Is still low but it was against the big bang theory. Maybe NBC should actually move it to Friday, where it could draw a 1.4-1.6 (I just realized that I change my mind a lot…)
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I WANTED THE VAMPIRE DIARIES TO ADJUST UP!
1.2, hehe now Community is certain to be renewed!
Aw who am I kidding, it is gunna be a tough fight, but I’m not giving up yet!
#sixseasonsandamovie
Not really comforting for Zero Hour but well…
SVU did only slightly better than Do No Harm.
Come March or April Idol will be averaging high 2s…
It’s February, where’s Scandal’s 3.0? That’s right. It ain’t happening this month or heck this century.
wow scandal sure is growing maybe in the 3rd season it will get over 10 million viewers. i guess scandal is going to take over for greys when it ages out
Grey’s is losing viewers and will never get them back. ABC fanboys/girls who think it’s the greatest show ever will shove their heads into the sand to pretend like Grey’s isn’t dying, and relatively fast.
Person of Interest beating it weekly will be no surprise, the show is a lot more youthful, lively and interested. GA is old hat and washed up. Scandal has more potential than GA. Move GA to 8 and Scandal to 9, ABC needs a new 9pm anchor because Grey’s is fading.
Also LMAO Glee, cancel that dreck already. Get it off the airwaves. Pathetic show. So glad to see Idol plummeting as well, the lower the better for singing shows.
NBC must be desperately hoping the Voice has more like than TXF and AI and can help their floundering line up – they have no Sunday shows, Deception was DOA, their Tuesday is a joke, Chicago Fire needs CSI to be a repeat to do overly well and SVU is washed up, all their comedies are flops.. I suppose Grimm is doing alright for itself. Still, most of NBC comedies rate lower than Blue Bloods LOL.
Unfortunate night all around, we’ll see what happens in the coming weeks as the spring drop approaches.
@methix0r
The ratings last night were bad, but they weren’t the worst the show has ever had. It looks worse, because The CW has shows other than TVD that are doing well this year, which it hasn’t had in previous years, ao now, when TVD drops, other shows have the potential, like they did this week, to beat it. But it’s not actually doing much significantly worse than it did last year. The first 14 eps of season 3 had:
1.6 x 1
1.5 x 3
1.4 x 3
1.3 x 2
1.2 x 4
1.1 x 1
The first 14 eps of season 4 had :
1.6 x 1
1.5 x 2
1.4 x 2
1.3 x 6
1.2 x 1
1.1 x 1
1.0 x 1
It’s season average after 14 eps in season 3 was 1.34 in the demo with 2.97 million. It’s season average after 14 eps in season 4 is 1.32 in the demo with 2.82 million.
So there is a drop there, but it’s fairly marginal. It all depends on if the ratings we got last night were just a blip, or if they’re going to become the norm. But so far, TVD is really quite close to where it was last year. It’s just, like I said, this year there’s other shows on the CW that are actually performing well, which makes TVD look worse when it goes low.
@omabin
actually the Robin Williams comedy is single cam. I guess they will be on fridays. Althou martin lawrence last season was with multi cam sitcom and cbs pass. But in the end don’t be surprise if cbs pick zero single cams from 7 pilots. As i already post it:
Les Moonves Says CBS Needs Few New Shows For Fall Schedule
Ratings are so strong for the network’s current programs that “we aren’t going to need very much” for the fall primetime lineup
“my guess is there aren’t going to be a lot of new shows”
http://www.deadline.com/2013/02/cbs-order-few-shows-fall-primetime-schedule/#comments
Also ABC left a couple words out of their new show’s title..
Zero (Viewers for the) Hour
@Halloween , they tried Nikita post VD season one and it underperformed so it was moved to Fri and Fri it will stay for the remainder of its run.Theyre not going to use their best lead in on thier reccently second lowest rated show(it’s only the second lowest cause of 90210s 0.4& it’s two 0.5)& they aren’t going move a freshman show to Fri in the middle of the season to help kill it ,even if it’s an underperforming freshman show.
Spent 20 minutes typing this out on my android phone with swype for my phone to go dead and lose it all just before i’m finished.
Anyway, Yah, as much as I absolutely love Scandal, especially lately, all that is right with the world is restored and Greys is back on top again, on ABC, on Thursday.
Also, wow at The Vampire Diaries, new series low demo?, it came only joint second in demo and third in total viewers. Its obviously nowhere near any stage that it needs worrying about but less certain now that it will continue past Season 6.
Also, Supernatural is looking more and more like it might brake Smallvilles record for longest running syfy (i know, just used to spelling it like this now. Blame that network.) show and get to have a Season 11, actors depending of course.
And was thinking, don’t know if the network would do it but, technically The CW could renew Hart Of Dixie, The Carrie Diaries, Nikita, One of either Beauty And The Beast or Cult and give 90210 a shortened final farewell season and still be able to premiere 3 new shows next fall.
All they have to do is give 90210 like a 10 episode final season like they did with Gossip Girl and premiere it slightly early like they did with Americas Next Top Model last fall.
That way:
MONDAY
90210 10 episode final season,starting from August – Hart Of Dixie 8/7c
The Carrie Diaries – 9/8c
TUESDAY
NEW SHOW – 8/7c
NEW SHOW/Beauty And The Beast/Cult – 9/8c
WEDNESDAY
Arrow – 8/7c
Supernatural – 9/8c
THURSDAY
The Vampire Diaries – 8/7c
NEW SHOW/ The Originals – 9/8c
FRIDAY
Nikita – 8/7c
NEW SHOW/Beauty And The Beast/Cult – 9/8c.
Don’t know the likelihood of them actually doing it but technically it is possible.
ABC my schedule for next year :
MONDAY : 8pm dancing + results 10pm Castle
Tuesday: 8pm music show similar to the voice/american idol
10pm new drama
Wednesday : 8pm new music show results 9pm MOdern family 9:30new comedy 10pm Revenge
Thursday: 8pm NEW comedy 8:30 new comedy 9:00 Scandal 10pm new drama
Friday: whatever they want shark tank last man standing
Sunday : 8pm once upon a time 9pm greys anatomy
@Still, most of NBC comedies rate lower than Blue Bloods LOL.
hahhahahahahahhahahahahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Thanks. That was funny. Really laugh. Thanks onceagain.
So much for Community..
Great numbers again for Scandal!
Yes! POI stays strong.
@Also ABC left a couple words out of their new show’s title..
Zero (Viewers for the) Hour
hahahahaha
man, you should try to find job like writer. Your comments are more funnier than most sitcoms on nbc and fox together.
