Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

definitely I can think that Scandal is nowadays the most OVERATED tv show

  • Josh

Grey’s was awesome last night. I really hope it gets adjusted up to a 3.0.

  • Mr. Blobby

Community has been my favorite sitcom for 3 years, but I can COMPLETELY understand why almost half the audience who saw last week’s dud would not bother coming back. And they didn’t miss much. Some shows survive creator departure. Sadly, not this one, it seems.

  • John A

I didnt say anything about Revenge. But its annoying fanboys are irrating.

  • ali

    @Glover
u clearly dont know what phenomenal shows are they include the walking dead, breaking bad, game of thrones and etc… whoever claims that scandal is the best show on tv is a total idiot and clearly hasnt seen those shows.

  • ali

i watch scandal but i think that its average not the best show, i cant understand whats so good about it. its just like any show that ive seen and is it me or is scandal copying of of homeland

  • israelCD

@Richard Steven Hack -Hahahahahahaha BOW 2 You !

  • thesnowleopard

Ouch at Zero Hour, but at least it’s not below a 1.0 (Yes, I did consider that possibility).

Is that a series low for TVD? It actually got tied in the demo and beaten in the audience by SPN. Yow. Of course, it may go up in the finals, but let me bask in the glow until then.

  • omabin

I didn’t mention it before, but SVU really should go to this slot. It did only 0.5 lower than on its regular slot for a repeat. It would be at 2.0s here IMO. Revolution, if it holds after the break, can anchor Wednesdays.

    BigFlop @Jerry Stle @heba

    “revenge haters include
    1)max
    2)glover
    3)leonard
    4)john A
these people need to get a life”

    AMEN!

    AMEN II !!

    AMÉN III !!!

  • gerry

@ john a – so are max and his cohorts. there are plenty of us that like both shows and know its not a competition despite some of the irritating posters on this site.

anyway, abc will NEVER move greys to 8. but if scandal keeps these numbers through the rest of the season, it would be a smart move for abc to move scandal to 9 and push greys to 10 to ride out whatever time it has left.

and for all you people thinking there is too much sex in scandal to move it to 9, you are deluded. the doctors of greys have been getting it on for years in the on-call room and everywhere else. WHICH IS WHY IT OBVIOUSLY WOULDN’T WORK AT 8.

  • Mayans

    Is 3.6 Idols lowest ever?

  • Dorothy

    Amen IIII

Also can I add this is the 3rd time my shows are being spoiled. Please warn us what show your gonna spoil…. Being spoiled on TVD, Scandal and Arrow….

  • r0ckmypants

@Reed Addison – Community is a “dead show walking” at 1.1 (well, 1.2 since it was adjusted up in the finals, but Guys with Kids is “on the bubble” with a 1.0?

There’s a serious lack of logic in the comments on this site lately.

  • jeff

supernatural and arrow hit the vampire diaries, arrow number 1, number 2 supernatural, the vampire Diaries drops to 3

  • jeff

    of the week

  • Sarah

    @Rokk

“’FOX 9PM is a death sentence” unless of course it leads to long runs like House, 24, Bones, Family Guy, American Dad, Ally McBeal, Melrose Place, X-Files, 90210…”

I agree because, if I remember correctly, when Bones was after Idol it was usually in the high 2s-3s.

  • r0ckmypants

@Reed Addison – Here’s some more logic for you: Community is already sold into syndication. So if NBC doesn’t own it, the only costs they will be paying will be to Sony, NOT production costs. Which means it could end up being cheaper if Sony wants more episodes produced for syndication.

  • JulieDawn

    @Tom

Wow, you’ve actually read and retained what I’ve said to you over the past few weeks. I’m so proud.

It is unfortunate that you haven’t really understood them though, based on today’s post.

My point has always been that you can have whatever opinion you want, and you are free to like or dislike BATB as much as you want. Just do it without making childish or cruel comments about the actors or the fandom.

  • networkman

I don’t feel viewers abandon Community just because one subpar episode. Why would true fans who waited for the return of the show bail out so quickly? No, I feel this decline was due to Valentine’s Day. Both Community and The Big Bang Theory fell by .8 in the demo. That is why it was a horrible night to debut Zero Hour. It could of garnered at least 1.7 and close to 8 million viewers if not premiering on Valentine’s Day. Anthony Edwards has a fanbase and people would have been interesting in his return to TV.

WOW at Scandal. It is now getting better numbers than Once Upon a Time.
